So true, and we’re seeing this more and more, especially in the years most affected by lockdown. The impact on missing out on sensory play, imaginative play, free play, for example. Without that foundation it is hard to build upon the social and cognitive learning.

It is aimed at those starting school, but I have drawn on it across a number of ages. The message is simple, but it’s that simplicity and the illustrations that make it memorable.
This is a favourite of mine - the lovely message for children of all different family combinations that each family is unique and it is the love within it that is the thing that shines through.
Thank you ☺️

Reception is the best for that - it’s like a magic potion 🌟
I am always proud of her, but this surpasses it: my daughter received the most beautiful and glowing parent’s evening report with academic achievements, kindness and lovely friendships, being a wonderful role model for the class and an absolute delight to teach. 💗🌟💗🌟💗🌟

Is it bad I hear that in my tutor’s voice? 😆 📚

Definitely a perk of being a Glaswegian living down south.
It’s the season for listening to little people practicing Christmas songs with a warm fuzzy feeling.
It’s all the season for having ‘Rat-a-Tat-Tat, Rat-a-Tat-Tat, There Isn't Any Room … going round in your mind in a loop.
Please send me a new ear worm 🐛 🎶
Screens are part of daily life, but it’s how we use them. Children and young people vs the millions invested into keeping them (and us) online. It’s not a fair fight.
Sounds like a scene from a Christmas film 🪕 ❄️ 🌨️

Exactly - I went into Asda the other day and it was a sensory overload - I couldn’t process it, couldn’t find what I needed, was drawn all over the place and came out overwhelmed, tired and grumpy. I have recently realised why Aldi doesn’t trigger those feelings - and it’s a good feeling.
Can I raise Aldi as an ideal supermarket for us #neurodivergent peeps?
1) There is no music - I like quiet.
2) There is only two brands for most items - I don’t need choice, I like the same every week.
3) The shop is small - I like efficiently.
4) There is the middle aisle for that dopamine hit.
