One of the most frequent causes of Charlie Kirk related cancellation was accurately representing his views, or even quoting them verbatim.
She expressed grief about Kirk's murder, and the only hateful thing in the comments came from Kirk himself.

The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.

Also our 2029 trifecta should pass an anti-gerrymandering bill. Divest it from other voting stuff to get bipartisan support

I should have known this tweet would elicit the most annoying social-media response possible: "actually no everything has always been monotonically bad so you're not allowed to say anything has ever gotten worse."

It's so annoying. And flatly wrong. But most of all, annoying. Quit being annoying.

Ohio feels like a must-get for Dems if we are to have control of the Senate.

if Ds control congress, they could pass a bill to send people checks, funded by taxing billionaires. let trump veto it if he wants.

include a provision in the bill that trump's name can't be on the checks.

Tax season was supposed to bring big refunds. So far they're less than expected The average refund so far is $350 more than last year at this time, despite projections that it would be closer to $1,000 due to Republican-led tax changes as part of the Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette announces it has found a buyer to keep the newspaper open Owners of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said they have found a buyer who had agreed to keep the newspaper open, less than a month before it was due to shut down.

The nonprofit that runs the successful, Pulitzer-winning Baltimore Banner is going to take over the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Of all the possible outcomes here, this is likely the best we could have hoped for.

I think it also acts as obstacle for first time college families. My dad was a machinist and went to night school, my mom a two year nursing program. I didn’t apply to any private schools because they were too expensive. We had no idea that we wouldn’t actually pay that price.

Talk stupid; legislate smart.

Agreed but I can also see how going after “big pharma” resonates with idiosyncratic and relatively uninformed swing voters.

I don’t think it happens across the board but some of the Texas districts that are relying on Hispanic vote could be vulnerable.

If you apply the special election shift we’ve been seeing you could get to 54 seats (flipping ME, NC, FL, OH, TX, IA, and AK) with NE/KS potentially competitive. Very hard to do with a general. Maintain that in 28 to get rid of filibuster, make PR and DC states, and pass gerrymander/court reform.

Any half-decent Dem candidate in 2028 is going to have a field day with this: You failed to negotiate with Iran to end a war, why would the American people trust you in the Oval Office. You talk a big game in a debate but you can’t be trusted when things matter.
