If Trump claimed that the grass is pink, every one of his lackeys would nod along in agreement, and argue that it’s always been pink, it’s just that it looks green. But it’s not. At all.

Well that’s a lie. Warsh will do whatever Trump tells him to do. He couldn’t even answer Sen. Warren when she asked him if Trump lost in 2020.

This man will be a disaster for the US economy & ordinary citizens, but a GIFT for the Epstein class.

He should NOT be confirmed, but of course he will be.

That means he’ll be confirmed then 😒😒

And with the utmost respect, it’s rather more than an ‘HR issue’. It’s clear that Starmer was hellbent on having Mandelson as US ambassador, and Robbins decided, very erroneously, to disregard the UKSV report & tell Starmer he was cleared. I assume due to the pressure he felt from No.10.

The Tories are all despicable. That doesn’t mean that Labour gets a pass for anything they do, just because the Tories decided not to deal with the multiple issues that arose amongst *their* ranks.

If anything, they need to be visibly *more* proactive when dealing with wrongdoing.

Aye she can get in the bloody bin. She’s a horrible person & a racist so it’s no wonder she wants to turn up for Yaxley-Lennon.

I think pretty much most of the left wing want him out too. And tbh, his views seem to align as much with the right as the left, so I don’t think the right are the ones driving this. It’s in their interest for him to remain where he is, they don’t want a more left leaning MP replacing him.

I think that pinpoints exactly why people are so angered by this latest crisis.

We had to endure 14 years of Tory corruption, incompetence, greed & self-interest. Starmer told us he’d undo some of the harm. He’d do things differently. We were hopeful for the first time in years.

He let us down.

Same. I mean if all you can muster is “There are worse people”, then…😐

It’s kind of a given that the Prime Minister isn’t perfect, we all know that, no one really ever needs to say it.

The fact that people ARE now saying it in Starmer’s case, is bad. If that’s all they can muster to try and defend him, that says it all.

Was it McSweeny who sold the idea to Starmer? Possibly. If so, then that’s bad in itself because it suggests Starmer was able to be manipulated. Or was it Starmer’s idea? If so, then for what reason?

Either way, we all knew Mandelson was an Epstein pal, & utterly unscrupulous, so he would have to.

Yeah, I’m not buying that ‘Trump whisperer’ narrative. Karen Pierce was a well respected ambassador to the US, there was no need to replace her.

To give her job to Mandelson, who was sacked twice for financial misconduct & a known friend of a convicted paedophile, doesn’t add up.

If Starmer continues as he is, a Reform government is exactly what the country will get in 2029.

He consistently fails to gauge the mood of the public, & instead has chosen to move to the right to try and woo Reform voters, thus alienating the very people who put him in Downing Street

Calling it a ‘nothing burger’ doesn’t make it so.

This is what is breaking my brain rn. Folk splitting hairs about what Starmer knew & when he knew it, when they should be wondering why he appointed a man who’d twice been sacked as a minister due to financial irregularities, and was known to have an ongoing relationship with Epstein post 2008 😐

She doesn’t blame the man whose own legislation is the reason why her gender marker was changed back to ‘M’?

That’s some unbelievable mental gymnastics.

Not really tbh. If he’d passed the vetting process, Starmer wouldn’t have been answering questions about Mandelson in the Commons yesterday. If he’d passed the vetting process, why did Robbins have to resign? All of what’s happened recently is because he DIDN’T pass the vetting process.

I can’t fathom the level of mental gymnastics she has to employ in order to exist in the far-right hellscape she occupies.

I find her despicable. She could have done so much good for trans people with the platform she has, but instead she pulled up the ladder.

She can get in the bin.

It’s not semantics. If someone sits an exam and fails it because they got all the questions wrong, and then a teacher marks that exam as ‘passed’, the person still failed the exam regardless. It negates the point of sitting the exam in the first place.

He didn’t pass it. He failed it. Robbins was told this, but he then CHOSE to ignore that.

And I know what DV stands for thanks.

He stayed at Epstein’s house in 2009, and this was well publicised prior to 2024. Which I’m sure you actually do know. 🤣

I like McGovern. Why can’t someone like HIM run for president?

21 hours ago 1 0 0 0

Can’t speak for you, but if I was Starmer, looking to appoint someone, I wouldn’t choose a man who continued a friendship with a convicted paedophile, & had twice been sacked from the government for financial irregularities.

And if I DID - I’d ensure they were forensically investigated beforehand.

Do you want me to show you how to find the articles, because you don’t know how to look for them? Or are you looking for me to provide them for you?

The information is out there. I found it easily bc I always do my due diligence before I comment on something. I don’t want to disseminate untruths.

This is what baffles me about all this. So much hand wringing about how attacking Starmer serves Reform, when Starmer is the one who has been the biggest gift to them.

His inability to acknowledge public opinion on any topic, his stance on Israel & Palestine Action, hardening immigration stance…

I’m not writing in Japanese. My app wants to translate to Japanese bc I have a Japanese keyboard on my phone. I’ve tried reinstalling it but it’s still the same.

He stayed at his house in 2009. This was widely known for years.

Starmer was warned in 2024 that they were friends post 2008.

He may just go with;

“I am angry! I am an angry man, doing an anger! Grrrr! And also BUM!!”
