So many fond memories of this project. I really would love do something like this again with a group of friends. ♥️

And it became this incredibly real and heartfelt moment at the end of the film. All the emotions and expressions there are just the cast being themselves as they try to make the shot work, and it turned out better than what we'd written.

But the wind was WILD that day and we only had one day to make this shot work and we were burning daylight. So our DP Amanda Grady just started filming the very real and earnest attempts everyone was making to try and light the candles

There's a scene at the end where everyone is struggling to light these floating candles after the wedding and that wasn't the scene as written. It was supposed to be this simple beautiful shot of characters lighting candles and sending them out onto the lake

There were some incredibly late shoots going till 3am or later because we only had a week to film everything, stress was high but we all pulled together and made something really fun

I had so much fun making this movie. We had an absolutely shoestring budget, the whole cast and crew slept on the floor in the same airbnb we filmed the movie in

The Director Mandy Bemis also had a starring role so I was called in to do AD work on all those scenes. It was such a wild time.
