One of my biggest cinematic icks is when a character in a movie rawdogs their mattrass.

I just found out Melvil Poupaud (who I've seen in various queer films) and Swann Arlaud ("Anatomy of a Fall") starred in political thriller miniseries "Dans L'ombre" last year. They previously worked together in Francois Ozon's "By the Grace of God" in 2018. Why they haven't kissed yet is beyond me.

I just listened to one of her songs. Earlier I had read IU is her favourite artist, which explains why she sounds like IU.

This reminds me of when that other kpop singer was included in Vanity Fair's Hollywood edition alongside established and up-and-coming actors despite no acting credits to her name at the time. I know western publications are actively chasing kpop audiences but they need to be more discerning.

I thought I was out of touch because I've never heard of this girl who is the 1st Korean solo artist to cover NME. Turns out I've never heard of her because she's been around less than 18 months, hasn't released her debut album yet, and none of her singles have charted. But her dad is a music exec.

It blows my mind that stans really thought 5 super pretty, thin and young twinks would be content to be the voices behind cartoons singers. If they truly were that hot, they'd be in real kpop groups. I will say the real vocalists aren't nearly as unattractive as I assumed they would be.

This week Korean fans of virtual kpop group PLAVE demanded that a radio DJ be fired after she said she wouldn't have them on her show. Now someone leaked the real identities of the members. Fans are mad they're not twinks in their early 20s but rather 30- something men who were in failed kpop groups

Fans of "Ossan's Love Thailand" are obsessed with the titular ossan (tr. "old man"). They claim it's because of Krit Shahkrit Yamnam's performance. But I suspect it's more to do with him being 20 years younger and much hotter than Yoshida Kotaro (the ossan in the original Japanese franchise).

I couldn't finish the 3rd episode.

I watched The Pit Stop yesterday. Lana's drag mother Luxx was the guest. I hope she's more honest with Lana about her performance on the show than she was on The Pit Stop because otherwise the poor girl is going to rot in mediocrity.
