Hypnotized a sub whose birthday it was today.
So I told them they were a gift and needed to unwrap themselves.
Gave them a very happy birthday.

You know they would.
This is IndolentDoll.

This is Chii.
This is the person who fucked me over along with several others.
Do let them know just because they opened a new account and blocked their enemies doesn't mean they can get away with shit.
The absolute gall of this individual.
Gotta keep this!

In watching The Boys season 3, I find myself quoting Stryker even 30 seconds:
"WHY'S EVERYTHING GOTTA BE A SEX THING WITH YOU!?"
Not complaining. Just an observation.
Hot take: I don't get the big deal is about spoilers.
If a movie or show is, as long as the journey to get to the ending does its job by making me feel characters are real and gave emotions, it can still poignant and emotional.
I'm trying to be the bigger man here and it's very difficult sometimes.
But try finding out your friends of four years, people who were your ride-or-dies, are now just a bunch of cowardly, catty bullies who talk shit behind your back.
In memorium of Stacy, Carrie, Jeff, and Kelly.
Rest in Piss.
The internet being the internet, bad faith criticism would have happened anyway. But internet personalities like Doug promoted "Hate without thinking any deeper about it."
Just saying.
The Mario Bros Movie from 1993 was made by people who didn't like Mario and everyone beneath them thought it was all absolute crap.
Linkara's Batman and Robin Review is PERFECTION
And since I've studied movies, I find these snafus interesting and the real stories behind them utterly fascinating.
In his Disney Afternoon review, he scoffed about Bonkers being a ripoff of Roger Rabbit, as if it were a cheap copy/paste, but even if you didn't know Bonkers was never meant as a Roger Rabbit show... like, duh. It was made off the same premise because it's a fun and interesting premise.
Were there bad decisions made about movies due to arrogance, greed, or ineptitude? Sure! Does Hollywood frequently hide its flaws, leaving us to only guess why some things were bad? Of course!
But I've seen a lot of video essays of the movies he reviewed as the NC and saw a different story.
He'd say something was good, or something was bad, or refer to how other movies did things, which - if you didn't think about it too deeply - felt like real film critiques. But that being said, looking back, I realized most of the things he lambasted had reasons for being the way they were.
I never took CinemaSins seriously. If you truly thought "Narration!" and "Skip!" were genuine critiques, then I don't know what to say.
But I've read humorous reviews and while Doug's Nostalgia Critic persona was cartoonishly over-the-top, he'd still hit all the aspects a film critic would.
Hot take: I don't necessarily *blame* Doug Walker (Because it would have happened anyway) but I certainly do think he popularized bad faith criticism of media and accelerated the downfall of media literacy more than CinemaSins ever did.
Let me explain:
Can't wait to see it when it's ready!

And no. Mesmer as in I'm a hypnotist. As in Franz Mesmer. Mesmerize.
BTW, thanks for the link. Its very helpful I the book I'm writing!
I'm reminded of my Winter 2000 edition of Disney Magazine that spent a short paragraph discussing the Kingdom of the Sun overhaul and chalked it up to "it grew in too many directions" and simply decided to make a South America-based movie.
I know I'm being insanely naΓ―ve in saying this, but I wish our tax system had electable options as to where our tax dollars go.
Like, check the box for "Dept of Education", 30%, skip the one for "Dept of Defense", etc.
Mark Rufalo warns Congress against the Paramount-WBD merger:
"You don't have to watch 'Citizen Kane' or read '1984' to understand that the concentrated oligarchic control this merger represents is a threat to a free press, an informed populace & democracy itself."
