I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of gunlances based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It’s actually so much fun! You can have those sneaky long gunlances, or those powerful wide gunlances, everything! It’s like you’re enjoying all these kinds of gunlances at a buffet. “Switch Axe is too powerful like, whenever I open up equipment screen I have to select switch axe even though I planned to try another weapon. I need to see its Zero Sum Discharge and it melts my heart so much the way it is, it’s absurd tbh, I never wanted to grab and brandish anything more than I want with switch axe. That perfect, seamless transformation. That giant, folding blade. That brash, rugged design. The morph. It honestly hurts knowing that I’ll never create a real life version it, go wild swing all day and night, and have it buried next to me when I die. I’d do ANYTHING for the chance to own a switch axe (or one made out of EVA foam). A N Y T H I N G. And the fact that I can’t put my hands onto its grip when I’m sad and lonely is too much to bear. Why would That Dev create something so perfect? To tantalize us? Laugh in our faces?! Do they know that perfection can’t please me?!?!?! Honestly guys, I just can’t anymore. Damn it. ”
Of all the weapons in the vast hunter's arsenal, nothing was more resilient than the long, pointy stick with a giant shield, more commonly known as the Lance. It's the most durable piece of equipment. The weapon seasoned hunters love. An elegantly simple amalgamation of long reach offense and solid defense. It doesn't require gauges, coatings or phials. The shield will block anything from small raptor's claw to mythical dragon's breath. It's so easy, even a rookie hunter can use it; and they do. The Kingdom entrusts their knights with it. The Guild provides it to hunters. Since the dawn of the would-become beloved series, the lance has become the hunter's weapon of choice. After that comes shielded heavy bowgun, gunlance, and charge blade. One thing is for sure, no one was using it to evade attacks.
