@anthropic.com claude is the only one of the big model providers I care to pay for but their responses have been so much slower and worse over the last few days. Super close to just bouncing to Gemini that’s free and included with my google one sub.

I’m only partially joking. The level of schadenfreude is real but so is being able to tell the fluff from the real important for any true engineer who wants to survive the junk code era.

I predict a rise of one time coded software that people will market as snake oil and then never support when things get hard to maintain or support, as they inevitably always do.

One unique value prop that I think AI coding assistant unlock for me is that they enable an always on rubber ducking buddy. It might struggle with hard problems and often is wrong, but it does help me unclog my own thinking

I would be super keen for this. My current studio display has been my second best purchase after my M1 Max Macbook Pro and I am looking forward to upgrading to both this and M5 MacBook this year.
