#Addiction includes the process of trigger-ritual-relief, learned behavior in response to an unmet need, cemented in place by repetition. In part, it's a type of maladaptive habit, formed reactively to satisfy a short-term need, often at the expense of longer-term goals.

Government efforts to lock kids out of social media won't solve this when it can also happen offline. The BEST way to keep them safe is by having an open and completely honest talk with them about the dangers. Inform them of how predators may befriend and manipulate them, because they NEED to know.

We fully agree. No parent/guardian enjoys having to tell a child about the horrors of the world, and how they may be a target, yet that difficult conversation NEEDS to happen. This network of NVE (Nihilistic Violent Extremists) exists both online and irl and they are targeting kids. 🧵1/2

#Russia has had these issues with leadership being oppressive, deceptive and manipulating for ages now. Those in power who wish to have every former USSR country back under Russian control are the current problem. This is what America's future may hold as the US gov follows the same path as Russia.

Poverty, homelessness, and social stigma make addiction more deadly - Harvard Health Addiction can affect anyone, but social determinants of health — the factors that influence a person's circumstances in life — can have a negative impact on a person's efforts to...

SDOH (Social determinants of health: "the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work, and age.") Failing economy, joblessness, lack of housing are factors which can contribute heavily towards rising #MentalHealth issues and #Addiction rates in a population. 🧵3/4

@euromaidanpress.bsky.social article describes the issues: "In 2025, Russia also recorded a record level of #mentalhealth disorders, with 328 new cases per 100,000 population, the highest in 14 years. The sharpest increases are observed in large urban and industrial regions, including Moscow" 🧵2/4

Alcoholism and mental disorders in Russia reach decade-high peak - Euromaidan Press A Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service report claims a sharp deterioration in public health in Russia in 2025, citing rising substance use.

We're all watching fascism rise to power in the US, and beginning to see the early effects. Employment is down, prices are up, the government are lying and manipulating the media. The gov are also creating new definitions of terrorism to imprison those who oppose them. 🧵1/4 #MentalHealth #Alcoholism

Cannot underscore enough that this was done to trans people first, which set the precedent that politicians can destroy medical care that both doctors and patients deem necessary for survival.

There's definitely a shortage of remote jobs and it's causing serious concerns for many who need to work from home. This is also having an effect on parents of children with special needs. We personally know at least two who need wfh jobs to better help their child, and they can't find work. ☹️

In Texas, doctors are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. These women didn't have to lose their lives, and these doctors didn't need to be punished for a situation that was forced on them. People should have full access to proper reproductive care.

Pennsylvania's appellate court confirmed that access to abortion is a fundamental right under the Pennsylvania Constitution.

This decision is a win for all Pennsylvanians.

It's unknown how many have been affected by this, but 40 hospitals dropping gender affirming care, is likely hundreds to thousands. For decades we've seen what the results are of denying such care. It inevitably has a horrible impact on the #MentalHealth and wellbeing of those denied proper care.

This is some good news for a change. It's nice to see workers having support in whatever health issues they're experiencing. Women especially have long been ignored, or their issues diminished and brushed off.

Because we wouldn't want to cause more harm to those who've suffered, we'd likely need to review all that shit prior to just dumping it.

2 days ago 1 0 0 0

This. Anonymous will never do MORE harm to people who have already suffered greatly. While we're certain many of the redacted files were done to help cover up for Trump, that absolutely wouldn't be the case for all. There's 2000 pages of images, likely a lot of those are CSAM and illegal to have.

Boise School District Implements Hope Squad Boise School District saw a sharp drop in student depression and isolation upon launching Hope Squad, a mental health program that fosters connection.

"Hope Squad focuses on peer-to-peer suicide prevention and teaching students to recognize the signs of suicidality and connect their peers to resources and trusted adults. Hope Squad is for junior high and high school students."

How a marshmallow fight is building community and preventing suicide Junior high kids in Boise threw 2,000 pounds of marshmallows at each other as part of a program to reduce depression and thoughts of suicide among students.

We like the idea of building community bonds, and having peers to support one another and promote suicide prevention. These kinds of #MentalHealth supports and activities for kids and teens, can help a lot. Increased mental health issues from pandemic, was what gave rise to Boise's "Hope Squad".

Even aside from the lengthy amount of time... Having to go through looking at that shit unredacted, is fucking harsh. And honestly, considering what some of it is, it's illegal to have in one's possession. But seeing that filth also takes a serious toll on people.

2 days ago 0 0 0 0

Because no, we absolutely wouldn't be OK with distributing that shit. Screening all that shit obviously wouldn't happen overnight. But we really need people to understand that as much as we ALSO want to see what's being hidden, we recognize that there might be a good reason for it. 🧵8/8 👇

That leads us to our last point... Because of the sensitive nature and respect for the privacy of the victims, checking those files would be a horrible task many people would have to take on. It'd take a damn long time to go through and even just make sure any CSAM is covered. 🧵7/8 👇

Again, given the nature of the crimes, and how young many of the victims are, it's quite likely that these files are only kept on an encrypted drive, on a device with no internet/outside connection. So hacking any of the entities wouldn't help anyways, they couldn't be accessed offsite. 🧵6/8 👇

Now we get into the more tricky issue. While anyone can have copies of the files that have been released, afaik, only the DOJ, FBI and House Oversight committee have actual copies and it's not certain exactly where the unredacted versions would be. 🧵5/8 👇

What the public wants and demands, can NEVER override the wants and needs of those who have been harmed. If they wish to never have their name or image be seen, then we need to respect that. We'd HOPE most of you would understand and respect their wishes as well. 🧵4/8 👇

2 days ago 16 3 1 0

There are too many people who've suffered greatly as a result of what these monsters did to them. Posting the files without consideration and respect towards the victims, goes against what the collective stands for. So even if we DID find where they're being stored, we'd need to check them. 🧵3/8 👇
