City Hall. The team was honored for showing exemplary partnership & steadfast commitment in supporting survivors of gender-based violence & their families.
SMC's Director of Equity & Engagement Victoria Moreland & HR Manager Aminah Long were honored last week at the Seattle Management Association Awards. Aminah was recognized as an emerging leader and Victoria was recognized for her work in race and social justice work. Congratulations! 🎉
Yesterday, the Seattle Municipal Court welcomed Washington State lawmakers to the courthouse for the annual “You’ve Been Served” event, an initiative designed to strengthen relationships between the judicial and legislative branches of government. bit.ly/4o6UBGk
Yesterday, 19 students from Garfield High School were sworn in by SMC Judge Catherine McDowall to begin their duties at Seattle Youth Traffic Court. Additionally, she thanked them for their civic engagement and service to community. bit.ly/3KYQT2N
Last Friday, about 100 people in need of Seattle or King County services stopped by SMC’s Community Resource Day. SMC staff helped attendees set up payment plans for Seattle traffic tickets, as well as address outstanding warrants. 45 vendors also took part in the event. bit.ly/3Viq4Zj
