Ty has been on my steam wishlist for like 2 years now and i still havent picked it up ;^; i really need to at some point. Another one that stands out to me are the LittleBigPanet checkpoints. the sound just never leaves my head
yesss i find them so satisfying
Not even trying to hide the inspiration for the checkpoints in Tichi3D. I'm curious if anyone recognises where the inspiration came from? ๐งฝ

Unity!
One problem I have noticed with Bluesky is it crunches down the quality of my videos ALOT. I could try uploading the clips as unlisted videos to YouTube and linking them here instead. I'd appreciate feedback on this though. Are you OK with the quality?? Or would unlisted YouTube links be best???
I just think physics objects are fun ๐

yea you could say that
Thank you so much everyone for the support for Tichi3D yesterday. I didn't expect it at all and it really means a lot.
Development is slow admittedly. I'm working on my own, and learning game development alongside making the game. But ill try to keep posts somewhat frequent!

There's a small bit of toree influence in there! Actually toree's release was what made me think "hold on... I can do that too". Then I fell victim to scope creep ๐ฅฒ
Toree is important to the existence of Tichi! I'm excited for toree saturn
The original battle for bikini bottom has by far had the biggest influence on this game. I find that bfbb has such a unique level structure that nothing else has really done. So I wanted to take my own shot at it
there's a light overarching plot with some more detailed stories separate to each of the worlds. as for the structure, if you've ever played battle for bikini bottom youll know what im going for. its a sort of, linear and segmented level design, with alot of side routes and optional areas
Maybe it's not the best response, but I'm not really trying to make it stand out too much. I feel that sometimes in trying to make something unique, you risk forcing ideas that just don't work. I'm just making a game I find fun :)
they are! admittedly though, this character was just made very early in development as more of a placeholder. i havent gotten round to redesigning her yet, and my friend is going to be the one making the model. i really appreciate the comment, but expect the character to change sometime soon
thank you so much! this is all my own code. everything from the graphics to the programming has been done from scratch by me. the only thing i havent done myself is the audio. my cousin is doing the soundtrack and the sound effects are mostly free effects online
thank you! and its on steam! store.steampowered.com/app/2242180/...
though, the store page is very barebones right now. im hoping to have a trailer ready before the end of the year, and ill do a big store page update alongside that
if it makes for fun movement, then i am happy to commit this heinous crime
thank you!! im using unity for this game
I actually never played Majora's mask. I only got into Zelda when botw released but it's quickly become a favourite franchise of mine so it doesn't go over poorly at all. But the actual inspiration for my game as a whole is the original PS2 version of battle for bikini bottom :)
Thank you! The track is done by my cousin alongside the rest of the soundtrack. Controls have been something I've been really focusing on ever since I started development. It's always interesting to look back at older gameplay and see its improvements. So I really appreciate that!
Wait so, it's literally twitter but good??
I'm a solo developer working on my first game called Tichi3D. I'll be using this account to share progress from now on! ๐ธ
