I am dead. Like that is just my age. I am dead number of years old.
You can possibly make it available for free on edovo / other prison tablet apps? But also a number of states do allow hardcover, so there are still some places where it won’t be an issue anyway
Not yet. Had two other east coast stops first

I think someone is eating raw garlic on this flight
Another reason investigative reporting isn’t easy. Here’s evidence of why the author of this, @robert-faturechi.bsky.social, remains one of the best.

We found that just 9 facilities of more than 200 accounted for half of the deaths that have taken place since Trump retook office.

Members of the Ayala family and other relatives of the detainees described the fear and worry of their loved ones' detentions, of their concerns about lack of treatment, only to learn their loved ones' deaths.
“I want justice,” Ismael's mother told me. “They’re not animals. … This was a sin.”
One detainee suffered a massive stroke, detention staff waited more than an hour to call an ambulance to take him to a hospital.
Another, a 75 y/o heart attack survivor with cataracts and mobility issues, was so frail doctors said he never should have been detained.
We reviewed hundreds of pages of ICE death reports, autopsies, and other records from 32 deaths with a total of 14 doctors.
Doctors determined that at least 17 times, people died after medical staff delayed or failed to provide critical care that might have saved their lives
Ismael Ayala-Uribe complained about rectal pain. ICE med staff gave him stool softeners, but didn't actually examine him, and never found the abscess that later flooded his body with toxic bacteria and killed him.
A doctor who reviewed his death for us called it "absolute medical malpractice."
🧵Missed diagnoses, delayed treatment and poor medical care are driving record deaths in ICE custody.
@kolyncheang.bsky.social and I spent months investigating the deaths of ICE detainees across the US. Over and over again, we found lapses in treatment that proved fatal.
“I don’t mean to be rude here but did you read any of the words in my prior email” is how today is going so far

For more context, this is the story I wrote a couple months ago about the case and his release: www.propublica.org/article/trum...
Two of the three 2nd Circuit judges were Trump appointees, though the 3rd is a Clinton appointee (Cabranes):
This is WILD: A few months ago I wrote about how the ex-Honduran president was given special treatment after Trump pardoned his drug conviction
Now a court ordered overturning the original conviction, after the ex-presiden'ts lawyer asked for it & the government did not oppose

NEW: Trump’s Justice Department Dropped 23,000 Criminal Investigations in Shift to Immigration, by @kbmorales.bsky.social and @davidarmstrongx.bsky.social
Shortly after AG Bondi’s confirmation, the DOJ declined to prosecute more criminal cases in a single month than any other going back to at least 2004.
NEW: The government tells Americans to use VPNs to protect their privacy. The government also automatically presumes communications of unknown origin are foreign. Foreign communications don't require a warrant to wiretap.
Lawmakers who've done the math want answers.
