One of the old networks I'm still attached to is #reddit - mostly because I'm a paid member and don't see the ads. Well, that and I've spent a ton of time curating my subs. 😂 It looks like @azsky.app is doing good work in getting a similar app on #atproto Following... #resist

I haven't had enough time to properly check out AzSky, but at first glance it looks like the (old) Reddit forum experience. They appear to integrate with Bluesky (Bsky post -> shown on AzSky as a post) and reverse-integrate with Bluesky (AzSky long-form post -> new Bsky mirror post).

Thanks for mentioning us and for your feedback!

could you give it a try again? We just fixed a bug where azsky.app failed to show logged in user info while the user has already logged in.

Let me know if the problem still persists

Software Sharing for Modern Companies | Fair.io Fair Source is an alternative to closed source, allowing you to safely share access to your core products. Fair Source Software (FSS) can be used with minimal restrictions, and becomes Open Source aft...

Yes, that’s exactly what we’re thinking as well. We’ve been looking into fair.io and will likely choose one of the licenses available there.

That said, we believe #atproto shifts the focus away from the source code, since the data itself is always open—and we see that as the most important aspect.

With every other centralized platform going weird and fashy, now is a great time to build competitor apps on #atprotocol (looking at you Instagram, which I finally gave up for good).

Exciting times for plucky startups.

While it’s possible to set up your own PDS, it’s not necessary. Bluesky’s default PDS supports storing custom records, and you can easily read from it. This is exactly how AzSky operates.
