Every day, I feel so, so glad that I ignored my family’s advice to join the FBI, because I would be embarrassed to be part of this evil clown show.

For those attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner this weekend, a small question:

When you're sitting there at your table, do you think it'll cross your mind that the guest of honor is actively covering up his role in a massive child sex trafficking operation?

Yeah. "I disagree with the Court's legal analysis" is one thing, but "the Court isn't using legal analysis to decide cases" is another. The latter is no longer in the realm of law and should not be treated as if it is.

The NYT big expose on SCOTUS today pairs well with @ariberman.bsky.social and @pemalevy.bsky.social's cover story on how ~everything wrong with this country today can be laid at the feet of John Roberts: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Isgur is such a fucking hack. the case she’s referring to is one where the 5th Circuit entered a stay and it was appealed to SCOTUS. the case in the Times story involved the Court intervening to stay an EPA rule while a lower court was still adjudicating the issue.

We live in a country where the two most dynamic, charismatic, eloquent politicians of this century have the first names Barack and Zohran. This is what bothers the white supremacists so much.

Constitutional Law, Moral Judgment,
and the Supreme Court as Super-Legislature
BRIAN LEITER*

I propose to defend and explore three claims in this Essay. First, there is very little actual "law" in federal constitutional law in the United
States, especially with respect to cases that end up at the Supreme Court. There, the Court operates as a kind of super-legislature, albeit one with
limited jurisdiction.

This isn’t just an ignorant, offhand remark. It stems from a deliberate effort by right wing groups to conflate criticism of the Israeli government with antisemitism in order to stifle support for Palestinians. They are fine labeling anyone Jewish who is on the fence about Israel “antisemitic.”

There's no greater sign of the iron grip that "both sides" framing has on American journalists than the repeated descriptions of the unhinged tantrum Trump is throwing over the pope's anodyne statements on Catholic doctrine as a "feud" or a "fight" or anything else that implies they're both to blame

When Swalwell says, “I made mistakes in my marriage in recent years”, he is admitting that he repeatedly had sex with subordinates in his campaigns/office.

He is asking us to believe that they were consensual, as if that would be full exoneration.

A boss like that should be fired, not promoted.
