I interviewed for the "designer" who makes that cannabis slop before he was all in on AI a few years ago. It became obvious during our talk that there was no actual job to be had, he was just farming free labor / ideas via a "design test" that was clearly a paying client's upcoming promo campaign

I bailed when they changed The Last Drive-In to a monthly show. There's just not enough content on there I haven't seen / want to see to justify subbing for a once-a-month series. And the majority of their original movies are bad

If you can find a place to stream it Nirvanna the Band is a ridiculous & very fun time travel comedy. We put it on after Pizza Movie:
1. Because we were high
2. It felt like a kindred spirit at the time to pair with Pizza

7 felt like a soulless cash grab for a franchise that is normally entertaining &, at its best, inspired. 3 was a misstep with a phenomenal - but poorly utilized - cast in a weak Hollywood satire / slasher that wasn’t enough of either. But hey, we agree the other 5 Screams are better than those 2!

Those bastards did it. They finally made a Scream movie that’s worse than Scream 3.

Scream 7 (2026), The Little Unicorn (2002, with @rifftrax.com ), nirvanna the band the show the movie (2026), Pizza Movie (2026) #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched #movies

Olivia Reingold of the Free Press asks Abdul El-Sayed "does Israel have a right to exist as a Jewish state?"

AES: "What do you mean by a Jewish state?" [...] "If you can't define the question, I'm not gonna answer it.

"...two traits you almost never see together in one person"? Every narcissistic abuser I've ever met is defined by those two traits. It's really not all that uncommon

The Clickbait Candidate Who Forgot To Vote Mallory McMorrow assumes voters will never look to see how — or whether — she actually used her influence.

A top U.S. Senate candidate is touting a proposal she refuses to even introduce or force a vote on in her own legislature.

When candidates treat voters like they're too dumb to look at their record, it's a warning sign about whether or not they'll try to fulfill their promises once in office.

I picked up her first album due to her being Mary Timony's protege & really dug it, but each subsequent album has been diminishing returns. The newest one is blaaaaaaaaaand

I have a theory: what works in the middle of the country will work on the coasts, but not in reverse.
That's why we need to hear from people in places like Michigan, Idaho, and Kansas City. Because I'm in the business of winning elections. And we're all seeing what happens when Democrats lose focus on the middle class.
My theory is what works

57 of my fellow students were arrested, academically disciplined, and barred from campus 2 weeks before finals.

And then the visas of some of those students were quietly revoked.

And then the DEI office was killed.

And then we watched our mentors’ grants evaporate over “woke”.

I have a Pro-Ject Debut from
2012 (I think the EVO1 is comparable now) that still works perfectly but you’ll need an external preamp. Still totally worth it IMO but that depends on your budget

These guys were in math rock bands so it makes sense it's so crazy precise. I got to see them twice in NY in the mid-2000s & they slayed both times but broke up soon after

Capcom was on a tear with their tunes in the late 80's / early 90's. Mega Man & Ducktales were just banger after banger... The Advantage did some amazing covers of that era

Democrats are on the path to winning this year, but it is by default. The party has done a horrific job on politics from almost the minute Trump was defeated in 2020. So, sure, they are winning right now — but it’s because we have no other choices. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

'Hillary praises Trump & says he’s much better in his second term: “I think all of that is a very good signal that there is beginning to be a better understanding both by the President & the people around him… that there can be common ground amongst us”'
