I was lucky enough to spend 3 years of my scouting experience in a troop near Dayton, Ohio. All of the leadership were Air Force from nearby Wright-Patterson AFB. Those guys were the Boy Scout motto (“Be Prepared”) personified. We went camping once a month, every month, the whole 3 years.
