I don't think it's "luck". I think a microlang is a quaint idea to people and she was designing one in the Internet's most earliest days. Being "first" helps. It also helps that she didn't stifle her own creation, the way e.g. Volapük and Loglan both died.

Sendube, in this case it's the estraroj signing on behalf of the orgs. If members strongly oppose, that's what elections are for.

That's a great question. I sincerely hope it means those organizations will seek to amend their bylaws as necessary and appropriate.

La Fundamento de Esperanto is another document that's open to a lot of interpretation and discussion, that could (and does) mean different things to different people. That's not a bad thing and that doesn't make it worthless.

Given that some E-orgs have signed the Manifesto already, and others could follow — it's a declaration of priorities and of vision.

I see this manifesto as existing by & for E-orgs, so e-ists who don't participate in member-orgs might understandably care less.

But what do you think?

If I may disagree with something I don't fully understand — that "it says too much and not enough". I can only interpret that as "it's empty words", but I don't think so. Most E-orgs have policies around "neutrality". Some will add policies for AI. Kelkaj komplezas al instancoj aŭ modelas ilin.

I wonder how many self-proclaimed raumists stand by the Manifesto de Raŭmo? I wonder how many e-ists in Zamenhof's time truly believed in the fina venko? Is it such a bad thing to organize thoughts, even "not new" ones, into a doc that people can choose to support in general or not?

It's also been signed by Esperanto-USA, Kanada Esperanto-Asocio kaj Brazila Esperanto-Ligo, se ankoraŭ ne pliaj. So, whether or not you care as an individual is up to you; but this manifesto will inform the priorities of several orgs which you may or may not care about.

It was posted in advance by at least a day to the kongresa telegram-grupo for everyone to read. Surely not all of them did, but the opportunity was there.

Now folks have time to "really think about it" before they decide whether to individually sign the manifesto online. Tio indikos pli bone.
