I'm π€ that last night was finally, really, truly our last dip below freezing I don't want to see my parka again until December
was thinking about this on my commute in this morning - if they have the whole point fenced off that also means anyone who uses the riverfront trails to cycle commute to work is also being diverted. what a mess
Health clinics are closed, delaying time-sensitive health care appointments, and my bus isnβt coming at all during the draft. People are unable to go grocery shopping, even.
loool wearing my tear away clothes to the office today what could possibly go wrong
oof I believe you. hopefully you can at least take advantage of the increased transit routes into downtown
In Passing By Lisel Mueller How swiftly the strained honey of afternoon light flows into darkness and the closed bud shrugs off its special mystery in order to break into blossom as if what exists, exists so that it can be lost and become precious

if we can't take you at your pens are doing terrible things worst we don't deserve you at your pirates are actually doing something right best Β―\_ΚβΏΚ_/Β―
tomorrow it will be ~35Β° for my bike ride into work and ~60Β° for my ride home
how does one dress for that?!
Not everything is a purity test. Sometimes weβre just being asked to do better, think harder, act more ethically, be less selfish, use our power more effectively, or take risks
These are not purity tests and claiming they are delivers nothing but the soft bigotry of low expectations
I typically take a walk around the point after lunch, but today? No way. The whole *public state park* is sealed off to the actual public by tall fences all the way down to the waterline & up to the freeway trestles, like a pop-up prison camp. Uniformed security everywhere. Deeply disturbing.
it's not great! leaving town immediately after work on friday
sorry strip district business owners will clutch their pearls over parking if there is even a slight breeze I am not even a little worried about them they will have so much tourism foot traffic
our transit is being shifted entirely towards shuttling folks to & from draft stuff, with regular riders getting screwed by a shift to weekend hours on most routes. any and every local who depends on any public service here is being thrown over in order to cater to wealthy outsiders. ofc we hate it
I've seen several posts questioning why pittsburgh locals are so down on the draft being here. idk what to tell you, our kids are being forced into online learning, the community college night class that I'm taking is cancelled dt road closures, see my last RT about law enforcementb targeting kids
During the draft, Pittsburgh Youth will be punished way more harshly and permanently than anyone so far from
the epstein files.
happy birthday! you are indeed very cute π
and a HAT which is a good hair day killer π
me too π
I actually don't grow any melons or gourds anymore they attract a kind of beetle that spreads a disease my okra is not resistant to π’
in the past I've grown a few different things, probably mini watermelons is the most similar to what you're talking about, they definitely needed real support
doing my running around today in a parka and Very Not Amused about it
excellent!
oh those don't sound mini at all lol yeah I think you need some real support for that
hmm I don't think that was among the options π€
just chiming in to second the trellis for melons
