Blue Mountain CC (Oregon)
Clackamas CC (Oregon)
East-West University (Illinois)
United States Sports University (Alabama)
Word of Life (New York)

The NCAA's lone Canadian member, Simon Fraser, is planning to leave and return to the Canada West Conference in U Sports. The move is tentatively planned to take effect in 2027-28.
SFU released a report earlier this month detailing some likely changes, which include eliminating 5 sports.
Between this and Michigan-USC stonewalling the Big Ten private capital deal (for now), there have been a few surprises this week.
But I know the money will eventually win out. It always does and it's not stopping at the FBS either. FCS/D2/D3 will follow suit, where possible and to a smaller degree.
That $30K a year they'll be getting from FloSports ought to patch up their financial issues real quick. 🙄

I appreciate the kind words.
NIL in its current form is convoluted and constantly changing to the point that I just read the headlines and move on. I don't have the capacity or interest to learn all the nuances. I don't blame you for losing interest because college sports are totally different now.
The House Settlement is final, so I decided to take some guesses at how the new roster sizes could impact realignment.
I don't think it's going to be a fun time for Olympic sports, a trend that tennis has already been subjected to.

I had to re-read the SUNYAC press release to make sure I documented all the moves correctly. I didn't, haha.
The SUNYAC release did say SUNY Cobleskill will add women's field hockey and lacrosse, but there was no mention of that in Cobleskill's release.

The constant barrage of "updates" on the Pac-12 media rights have been one of my least favorite parts of realignment the last 10 months. I look forward to the day there's actually an agreement announced and the final numbers are leaked to put this behind us... until the next agreement in 5ish years.

Guess what sport lost another 4 teams for 2025-26 today? Yup, tennis.
Oh, and Stephen F. Austin dropped both golf programs, women's bowling, and women's beach volleyball.
