This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

YES!
No one needs to speed except emergency services
(another benefit - car theft & other car-related crime would plummet).

Weekly spin class ‘better than physio’ for people with common hip issue The approach could also be more cost-effective for the NHS and could help tackle waiting times for physiotherapy, according to researchers.

"Weekly spin class ‘better than physio’ for people with common hip issue"
Yet another endorsement of regular cycling. So many people with health issues could avoid blighted lives & expensive therapy/gym membership by cycling their everyday journeys.

‘Half the tree of life’: ecologists’ horror as nature reserves are emptied of insects A new point in history has been reached, entomologists say, as climate-led species’ collapse moves up the food chain even in supposedly protected regions free of pesticides

Absolutely not - we need all the insects we can get.

Is the BBC now the official mouthpiece for Reform? A study of the BBC’s Question Time has raised concerns about representation and political impartiality

With its constant platforming of right-wing populist political “party” Reform UK (a company founded & funded by right wing millionaires with only 5 MPs), & neglect of longer established & larger parties, the BBC is fast losing any claim to impartiality.

Nick Beggs, Kajagoogoo guitarist

Nick Beggs, Kajagoogoo guitarist

Turned out it was Mick Jones (I had Sandinista! on cassette tape, been to some early punk gigs in mid 1970s London, but knew little of The Clash). There was a buzz at the party about the guitarist from Kajagoogoo possibly showing up.
He didn't.

Mick Jones of The Clash

Mick Jones of The Clash

New in London in 1985 at a party in the garden of the apartment below mine, I chatted to another guest who, when he heard my accent, said he'd played Belfast.
Me "Really? What band?"
Him "You heard of The Clash...?"

Too many councils & their advisers often don’t understand the needs of people not in cars & consequently what they create can be dangerous or useless.
Cycling advocates shouldn’t be shy of pointing out potentially lethal infrastructure when they see it. Funds get wasted & lives are put at risk.
