Houston Chronicle has also done pretty extensive reporting on the scripted lesson plans, and also on the three new AI-based campuses that are being rolled out next year.

The claim that "teachers want to use" this curriculum is misleading - the fact is that their yearly evaluations are based on their using it and following it to the letter.

In Houston ISD, which was taken over by the state and had a new superintendent/dictator forced on it, the answer is yes. AI "writes" most of the required lesson scripts. And they're as awful as you might imagine, and full of errors.
