But no, the AGM will be online - not in person like most other regional and rural Victorian health service AGMs - and held during a work day and during school pick up, which is not making it accessible to the public. Further, the board is not taking questions.

AWH staff have expressed concerns about the workplace culture and leadership of the hospitals in four staff surveys including the Victorian Government’s People Matters Survey.

This is particularly the case after overwhelming votes of no confidence in the AWH CEO and chair were passed by the service’s senior medical staff last month.

Albury Wodonga Health is holding its AGM tomorrow - you would think the CEO and chair would be taking an opportunity to explain what is being done to shore up public confidence in the board.

He is well respected and has widespread community and patient support. His contract as a Visiting Medical Officer was terminated recently with no explanation given to the public.

The most prominent to be targeted is Dr John Stuchbery. He has been operating on many breast cancer patients in our public and private hospitals for 27 years.

Staff who have spoken out against an underfunded redevelopment of Albury hospital, in favour of a new regional hospital on a new site, have been harassed or sacked. Other staff are now in fear of also being targeted.
