That's part of my thinking, I want to take General Relativity just because it interests me, even though it's not really related to what I'm interested in (optical physics). However, my slight justification for taking it is that one of the main GR experiments, LIGO is an optical experiment.

I might do that, the big dilemma for me is between Networks and Quantum Information, and Symmetry and Topology. I think two very maths heavy units will be a bit much for me. I just have to decide which one I take for funsies and which one to take for realsies.
