Yea, you do need to read up a bit on which programs you need and want.
Do wonder what tablet you're using, mine just worked, shit it works even better without the Wacom drivers 😂.
Honestly the biggest pain in the ass is fellow devs instisting on using unity and unreal. Because it means I cant nuke my microslop drive.
In the first month you might also run into some other pains and might have to visit the terminal once or twice. And need to find some replacement programs.
But you'll learn some cool shit. And soon enough youll consider hopping distros for more ricing options.
Laptop has been quieter. Which is a great plus. After windows scammed me into installing 11 by constantly moving that fucking get 11 screen and button around. Laptop was constantly running at 90+ degrees :x
Other then that. I run ase through steam.
Krita, gimp, inkscape etc instead of adobe. Which is a pain but if you spend like a little to swap hotkeys around and just make 1 simple project with it you get used it it pretty quickly.
Ngl the first month is a bit of a pain.
So here is what i did.
I got me an external ssd and installed linux on it. So dual booting is always an option. One thing that im not sure of is that the boot partition is now also on it, so without it connect the pc wont startup.
Been using Linux mint as daily driver for a year already. Can recommend.
