It's astonishing how many people are saying that Haaland did Gabriel a favour by not going down. He didn't go down because there was no reason to and, if he had done, it would have been a disgrace. Why has the discourse moved so far from admonishing play acting? #Arsenal

Screenshot of a thread on X. Top post by Steve Laws, verified account @Steve_Laws_, posted four hours ago: “People like to avoid the mixed race question but here’s a prime example of these people belonging nowhere. We don’t want them and neither do they. Very problematic.” The post quote-tweets an earlier post by the same account: “We don’t want them. They’re yours.” That post in turn quotes a user called Naima, @Naimaintaipei, replying to @eleanorzjames and @MrNChance: “Mixed race people aren’t black at all. We don’t want them to claim black.” The Laws post shows 79 replies, 59 reposts, 928 likes, 16,000 views. Two Restore Britain supporters, both in Rupert Lowe’s orbit, discussing on X about what to do with those who are mixed-race. Conversations that once had to be held secretly now held with little to no pushback. So much for the marketplace of ideas.

"Your Account is Suspended" Message on X
The CEO of Palantir posted a fascist manifesto on X.
I pointed out that it was fascist—which resulted in a permanent suspension from X (my second time!).
So, when you hear the tweeters complaining that BlueSky is intolerant, remember why many of us came here in the first place.
Honestly just ban social media until the companies can show they’ve got a grip on this.
I’m increasingly not sure democracy can survive the deepfake era.
A proper game of football, this one, berween a team that should have wrapped up the title already and another which should have been demoted to League One a long time ago.
Despite the commentary, I don't think that was ever a red. It was a sensibly refereed moment; Haaland instigated the contact and Gabriel's retaliation had negligible force. It was the best we've played for a while and it's sickening to come away with nothing.
A moment from the first half of Man City's 2-0 win over Arsenal at Wembley. City have four forwards and Arsenal can't find a pass into midfield.

Like Liverpool, Arsenal could theoretically line up differently in midfield, staggering the double pivot with one player dropping between the centre-backs, and use their wide players to flank Man City's two-man midfield.
Like Liverpool, a graphic showing how Arsenal could better line up for long passes over Man City's press and position themselves to compete for second balls.
NEW: Arsenal had no answer to Man City's zonal 4-2-4 press at Wembley. There's been a month, and maybe some help from Liverpool, to find answers if the same thing happens this weekend. For @arseblog.com: arseblog.com/2026/04/tact...
Arsenal fans get a lot of stick online (some of it deserved tbf!) but the generosity of the ArsenalVision Podcast and Arseblog communities is always incredible.
The consistency with which they show up and support such a good cause is more deserving of mention than some of the nonsense, but hey! ❤️
Agree with this. I thought there was a fair amount of promising attacking play tonight but there wasn't enough space for it to bear any fruit and there were times when you could see that the players just aren't quite gelling, most likely due to how many alternates are having to play with each other.
1. This is a great achievement for the club. We did what we needed to do and we advanced. The club is undoubtedly on a continuous upward trajectory with this manager.
2. We will be trophyless at the end of the season again if we do not improve our attacking threat and get healthy. Tweaks needed.
Reform, in theory, could have been a gift to Labour: they divided the Right-wing vote. All Labour had to do was govern in a way that held their Center-Left coalition together
Instead, they chose to act foolishly and blow up their own coalition in pursuit of a voting base with no interest in them
Mamdani delivers a master class every time in how to communicate politically.
I thought tonight was a decent performance against a very organised team. Some of the attacking play was promising and may well be more fruitful against City. The main takeaway was probably that Eze makes a big difference.

“The Government of Spain will not applaud those who set the world on fire just because they show up with a bucket.”

He did so much after that horrendous injury, but there's no doubt it had repercussions on his fitness for the rest of his career.
I always liked how he wanted to play the game, and boy did he give us some great moments.
Good luck!
I love international football, but find referees are often far too reluctant to send off players in friendlies so challenges like those dished out by the Uruguayan players yesterday don't get discouraged.
How many people that read this on supermarket shelves will find out it was all bullshit?
Nigel Farage is undermining democracy, not promoting or protecting democracy, when he loudly alleges fraud every time he loses a constituency where there are any visible Asian voters, yet has NEVER once actually brought any evidence to any authority of his allegations, despite OFTEN saying he will

SNL UK was sodding brilliant.
The implications - that we’ve let a generation, maybe two, of terrific performers who could have become the bedrock of UK sketch and character comedy just lie fallow - is however something to keep me awake at night.
How does Bernardo Silva get away with his so-called "niggly" fouling, game after game after game? Remarkable. A master at work.

Remember when people were fired for *reposting* accurate quotes from Charlie Kirk after he was killed.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage spoke about Wednesday's assassination of the US conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, as he introduced the party's candidate for the Senedd by-election in Caerphilly, Llyr Powell. Mr Farage said some responses to the murder of his "very good friend" Mr Kirk had been "quite despicable", and promised Reform candidates would "never, ever engage in such conversations" about its opponents.

When Charlie Kirk died Nigel Farage gave a speech where he condemned the "quite despicable" comments about him and promised Reform candidates would "never, ever engage in such conversations" about its opponents.
Will he be condemning Trump?
In term one DHS gave Miller a report showing that the taxes paid by refugees exceed the costs of resettling them by $63 billion. He suppressed it and ordered another one: “The President believes refugees cost more, and the results of this study shouldn’t embarrass the President."
I agree this is a big problem
HOLY FUCKING SHIT EZE
