eGPU support is back on Macs, yes Apple silicon Macs.

FCP11 or FCP7 XML?
Some Apple products are so beautifully crafted that when they discontinue them it makes me want them more instead of less.

The should make it that if they drop you for no reason they have to give you all the money you paid them back. Same happened to us with the home insurance and another company.
So poor inside the only thing they have is money.
That is the right direction! Why would you want more light at 5am in summer?
I wish Apple made displays in 2 flavors:
- Display with speakers and webcam
- Display only
I don’t need over engineered speakers in my monitors and 2 webcams, can I get a discount?
I completely agree and disagree at the same time, they should move from the skywalker family AFTER making this movie. Out of the last trilogy this was my favorite character. And this could be a one and done just like Rogue One.
Screenshot of the pop-up menu when right-clicking in the gallery stills pane. The mouse pointer hovers over "Copy Grade: Copy All Node Layers" which has a tick mark in front and an arrow pointing at it.
Colorist quick tip when working Resolve: To retain any node cache status (auto/on/off) when copying a grade via middle-click:
1) Right click in the gallery pane
2) tick "Copy Grade: Copy All Node Layers"
Glad I finally figured this out! 😅

The new visual and transcript search in #FinalCutPro is very cool. Here’s a little #tip:
Set the browser to group clips by relevance.
That way you get a visual break on the results for high and low relevance.
@elgato.com what are we waiting for a Stream Deck XL with scissor keys?
How can a DIT provide a report without including camera brand/model info? Mind boggling.
So I’m not alone then. A while back I thought it could be hardware related to my M1 Ultra, but seeing it on an M3 and other people too, it’s gotta be BMD’s problem. Also Compressor doesn’t have any problems with H265 on the same machines.
#DaVinciResolve v20 still has issues making H265 exports on M Macs. I see repeated frames occurring in those exports that are not present on ProRes exports of the same sequences. I’ve been seeing this kind of issues for the last 2 years and different M Macs.
Good choice!
He has such a close minded approach about it because his movies get “enhanced” in other departments, like what you hear is not just what was recorded on set and sound does get mixed not just played as is (isn’t that like sound color grading?) and what about VFX for example?
How does the saying go?
“Happy client, happy life”?
“As technology advances, the role of the colorist continues to shift from problem-solver to creative partner… That means more time spent grading and less time “fixing”.”
That’s wishful thinking. To me it’s more like less color days, budgets shrinking.
Somewhere after #DaVinciResolve v20.1 the soft buttons user assignments on the Advanced Panels became persistent.
Before you had to assign them every time after launching the app. Now they are remembered even between system restarts.

Sorry but I can’t take your YouTube grading tutorial with your gaming chair and your laptop connected to a regular computer monitor seriously.
Only the last one pending on that bingo card!
