Sickening: The Kennedy Center, the Institute of Peace, a 24k gold coin, signature on US banknotes contrary to federal law and convention, hideous ballrooms, statues… when does the sycophancy end?

ProPublica is attempting to document who is or was involved with DOGE, and what exactly they were doing.
Many DOGE employees tried to scrub the internet of personal info and of what they did before DOGE.
By now, ProPublica has identified over 100 employees!

PBS, USAID, the institute of peace, the east wing, all are smoldering wreckages because all the people who could have defended them said to wait in the courts

“The State Department will begin moving some of its offices into the United States Institute of Peace building as early as next week, despite the fact that the building’s ownership remains under pending litigation” Whole thing is piracy. Plus they stole their trust fund. Where’s the money?
USIP is not part of the federal government. It is “an independent nonprofit” separate from the government, according to terms set by Congress.
Rubio’s State Department isn’t misappropriating resources from another branch (bad enough).
This is looting.
Thanks to @marisakabas.bsky.social for covering a story the MSM has ignored.
With #USIP, as with everything:
♦️Trump does something utterly lawless.
♦️Months later, a judge tells him to stop.
♦️He doesn't.
♦️And nobody makes him.
♦️News cycle has LONG moved on.
♦️So nobody cares.
SCOOP — Select State Department offices will start moving into the US Institute of Peace building as early as next week, The Handbasket is first to report, with Kristi Noem’s “Shield of the Americas” among them.
This is despite ongoing litigation since the DOGE raid on the building last March.

i cut together a quick rundown (with visual aids) of what @marisakabas.bsky.social found when she went through the MPD body cams from the day they helped DOGE with their hostile takeover of the privately owned US institute of peace building

Donald Trump’s name on USIP. A building bought with private donations. Illegal.
Scene of the crime: this is private property. What the regime did is illegal. Don’t forget United States Institute of Peace. Im sure missing it these days. ❤️🩹
Today @marisakabas.bsky.social returns, fresh off her incredible legal win obtaining the body cam footage from the DC cops who assisted the DOGE boys in breaking into the USIP office in March 2025. www.liberalcurrents.com/doge-dunces-...
Moose’s argument is that war-fighting and peace-building are different crafts, and that the United States has weakened itself by crippling one of the few institutions designed to do the latter across administrations. “History shows that a cessation of hostilities does not inevitably result in a durable peace.” “Peace work should not be politicized.” Ambassador George Moose, “If the U.S. Wants Durable Peace, It Must Protect the Institutions That Build It,” Just Security, 17-Mar-2026.
Ambassador George Moose argues that durable peace cannot be improvised after war, and that dismantling the U.S. Institute of Peace has stripped the United States of an independent, bipartisan tool for conflict prevention, mediation, and post-conflict stabilisation.
Nate Cavanaugh has gone viral recently for his taped deposition about DOGE eliminating "DEI" grants.
He's also a key figure in our story from last year. We found that he helped expose a sensitive Afghanistan program, leading to a brutal Taliban crackdown.

“Despite a winding legal challenge, the institute lies defunct, its elegant headquarters along the National Mall now emblazoned with President Trump’s name and used as a backdrop for ceremonies with foreign leaders.”👇🏼
#Trump, the poser, is the antithesis of peace.

One year ago, the U.S. and the world lost a crucial capability to reduce and prevent violent conflict and build durable peace, writes Ambassador George Moose.
Moose reflects on the Trump administration’s seizure of the U.S. Institute of Peace that he led:

Today is the one year anniversary of DOGE's raid on the US Institute of Peace. DC Metropolitan police literally broke open doors at the institute's privately-owned building to let Trump officials bully their way in.

#ThisWasNews one year ago:
US Institute of Peace says DOGE ‘broke’ into its building.
See what else was news. Reply to comment publicly or say 'remind me in 30 days'
“DOGE officials knew that the USIP headquarters was a private building that was not owned by the federal government, so they couldn’t gain access on their own. ‘[A]nd the DC MPD allowed them to enter despite that fact,’ Kabas reported.”
Which the current administration "renamed" The Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in December. And as Acting Head he transferred the ownership of the 500 million dollar USIP building to General Services. This was deemed illegal and then a stay was granted. The legal battle is ongoing.
The USIP President telling Bagshaw "We thought you were our friends" after MPD broke into the building for DOGE and escorted the USIP team out is such a perfect example of reality vs. perception when it comes to the police
