While there's value in the whole "leaders eat last" idea I sometimes see this leading to the false conclusion that eating last will make you a leader.

Eating last will make you desperate and longing for redemption as long as you haven't learned to nourish yourself.

Love the flagging idea. (Both actually)

I'll make myself available for technical, conceptual and documentation support for projects wanting to apply! Excited to learn about your ideas.

Love the code-coverage post!
Hot take: don't bother covering trivial code. Cover cases that users will only encounter in problem cases.
That said: the trivial parts are usually also trivially covered.

Voice messages are great! Voice messages are often disliked for their time-consuming nature, but can be valuable when used as personal podcasts to share thoughts without urgency or obligation.

Yaaas! Love this initiative ๐Ÿค

I'm writing public notes. Some of those I consider blogposts.

Excerpt of things that scare me:

- Mรคrz as Chancellor
- German AfD not being banned jet
- My unresolved shadows
- The amount of cryptographic and web3 snake oil LLMs fall for when discussing security & privacy matters

The atproto aspect or the "bring your own user/payment/access" aspect?

Right now I don't actually intend to build this, it's rather something I needed to write down in order to get it out of my head and move on. Still I'm interested in learning how this would look and what the wins would be compared to other models

Definitely interested in your takes here

That said: when it comes to sharing/comments/interactive aspects it might be worth hopping on the protocol.

Have thought about that but feel it's a different tool serving a different angle.

From what I understand the concepts for serving temporary blobs to an authenticated user are limited, or if so not beneficial over a traditional client server contract.

Also the whole system requires full buy in from artists, so most likely not gonna happen with my reach and funds...

Security Position: Subscription Access and DRM Considerations This document details the rationale for rejecting DRM and strong encryption within a decentralized music playback system, prioritizing openness, privacy, and user autonomy.

Might be interesting to explore if there would be ways to mix in big streaming players without their explicit buy-in....

Compared to a mp3 collection this would also give artist more control over meta-data (covers, lyrics, analytics). Which can also be a win for users.

So basically this is more a protocol aiming at giving artists full control over how they monetize/protect their work as they'd be in full control over access patterns
While still allowing users to have media from different artists, playlists etc etc.

Decentralized Browser-Native Music Player SDK Spec This SDK empowers artists to self-host music players on their websites, offering complete control over content and user playlists without central authority.

Thinking about pulling all my tracks of Spotify and serve them just from my website...

But my over-engineering mind can't help but create a full blown somewhat decentralized project around that.
