my experience with gaming on linux has been funny, haven't ran into a game that ran worse than on windows

the most i can say is that caves of qud needed a minor thing to work correctly due to graphical glitches, terraria didn't initially have audio (fixed afaik), and shaders are slow to build

I swapped from win 11 to linux and FFXIV went from shuddering and being weird on my 4070 Super/5800X3D to now being unable to run at maximum without a single frame drop (75FPS + full max settings)... the game has never run more solidly???
