End of the school year and received this thoughtful gift and message! How do teachers not get emotional at this time of the year? I’m almost about to cry a river in the classroom 🥹
Sigh - shows that we still have a lot of work to do to ensure schools are inclusive to all!

Pleased to say all the teachers that volunteered were able to commit to their day of fasting and together we raised £155 for @alzscot.bsky.social 🥰. @nuthmani.bsky.social thought I would keep you updated on this 🥰.
👋🏼
Thanks for this! It’s for my LCSC class and my teaching partner’s class who joins up with us in the afternoon so need to keep presentation and information short and simple. I found a presentation and was just seeing if I could get a video or couple other links to tie in with it.
@nuthmani.bsky.social we’re going to look at some work on the Pakistan/India partition but i’m struggling to find some good resources/videos that are school friendly - I have a small presentation that I found but anything you know of that I could use? Many thanks ☺️
For World Book Day I got the opportunity to be Harry Potter - (the boy who fasted! 😂).
Oh my goodness! This is so wonderful and really highlights how people from different backgrounds can come together in solidarity, compassion and a common cause for good. Congratulations for being such a positive influence on your colleagues & good on them! 🎉 😊
#Ramadan2025
For Ramadan this year, I am pleased that some of the teachers in my school will fast with me (each taking a day) to understand what fasting means and entails for Muslims. We have also decided that the money that would be spent for lunch on that day will be donated to charity 🥰
Ramadan Mubarak ☺️☺️☺️
Ramadan Mubarak to you and your family ☺️
we came up with for the ‘neighbours’ - say hello to Harpreet (Hundreds), Tiana (Tens) and Usman (Units) - we slightly touched into thousands so we welcomed Thomas to the neighbourhood! 🥰
I decided to have fun as i attempted to teach the children about carrying over in addition so I used HTU as neighbours that could only fit one number in their box and had to pass the other number to their neighbour to see if they had room. The kids in my class have loved it and loved the names
Have to say since I’m in LCSC and have my ‘own’ class now since start of term, I’ve had so much fun making the room my own! Even better the kids in the class have absolutely loved it. Always making changes but happy with it so far 🥰
Been working on my display in my class ☺️. As someone that is very pro-active in ensuring primary children learn additional languages, I always aim to bring French to life wherever possible in the classroom ☺️
There is already a focus on STEM and Art and we will use a digital focus to link videos to QR codes of the class working to help the fish eggs in the environment in the days hopefully leading to hatching and reaching next stage before release in the river!
Today our fish eggs came into class as part of Clyde in the Classroom project where we help brown trout hatch from their eggs and turn into a fry before we release them into River Clyde! I’ve started a wall display that is going to be cross curricular.
One i used - which country has the largest population? - Ireland because every day it’s Dublin! 😂
What was amazing that even after 2 years some of them still recognised and remembered me from a placement that only lasted 5 weeks! It was great seeing them all again and so great to know that I was remembered as their teacher 🥰
This was a first for me today - went with my school to Science Centre for Clyde in the Classroom and there were load of other schools there. Notably the first school I did my placement at for my PGDE with the class I had - they were P4 on placement and now P6 and last I saw them was over 2 years ago
My first attempt at drawing Mickey Mouse ☺️
Hope you have a great holiday too ☺️
Felt really emotional today as children from classes I cover in supply came and gave me cards and gifts. I wasn’t expecting anything as I feel that it’s not really ‘my’ classrooms and i’m not their main teacher but made me feel really valued for the teaching I do in my role 🥰🥰🥰.
Thank you ☺️
