This BBC News Online piece will be the most effective publicity my new documentary about Flight into Danger gets. So if you have enjoyed the programme, think you may enjoy it, or are just a kind soul, if you could please share this anywhere you think it may be worth sharing, I'd be very grateful!
Couldn't get it out of my head, so now it's on here.

That is such a pity! You’d be perfect for them, and the idea of doing some obscurer works seems very enticing. They could do with a good dusting off.
I’d subscribe!
Your guest appearance on the Blackadder podcast was great - and plus you have a lovely voice. I think you talked about wanting to record more audiobooks: I thought how perfect you’d be to narrate the world of PG Wodehouse… And then I think you went on to talk about it.
Having fun imagining a line up for ‘Last One Laughing (Heaven)’
Bill Hicks
Richard Pryor
Rik Mayall
Victoria Wood
Caroline Aherne…
The list is endless, sadly. And will only get longer.
Who would you add to it?
“Tring tring tring goes the ambulance…”
When it comes to comic strip panels about Desperate Dan, my favourite was always ‘Desperately Unfunny Dan’ in Viz.
I’ve got my sprouts on!
Also tangentially related - I listened to the last Talking Bottom with Max Kinnings if you haven’t already heard it, and he’s a big fan of Filthy, and of Ben Elton’s writing. He would make a fantastic guest! Get contacting!
Thought about this again today. What a scoop!
Ronnie Ancona who did an impression of Peggie Mitchell on EastEnders is going on EastEnders.

Stag head featured prominently on set in The Young Ones. On the far left, at the back.
@dirtyfeed.org I’ve just had a thought. Do you think the Young Ones had a stag’s head in the living room as a homage to the moose in Fawlty Towers?
@podcatflappo.bsky.social I’ve just seen episode 30… it’s coloss!!
Bob Monkhouse (31st October 1983). Ronnie Barker discusses character voices and comedy heroes.
For more info (okay, only a little bit more... possibly less), you can listen to Maurice talking about it on RHLSTP - the book edition.
I want a ‘Paris’ DVD with lots of extras and special features and no I’m not sorry.
Skullcrusher Henderson as he appears in One Foot in the Grave.
@dirtyfeed.org can I alert you to a tedious fact that you may already know? The carers in the One Foot in the Grave episode ‘Hearts of Darkness’ are watching ‘Bottom Digger.’ And this is the very exciting bit: one of the carers is played by Nick Scott, AKA Skullcrusher Henderson from ‘Bottom Dough.’
Hello! I like your work so when I saw this pop up it gave me a little thrill to know I’d made the same joke on a different platform. Tragically nobody found it funny but it was a long time ago.
I miss the days when Donald just said stupid stuff and was mocked.
When Goon Pod interviewed... David Renwick
David chatted about his career, including writing for Spike, Mike Yarwood and Alexei Sayle, plus One Foot In The Grave memories
