The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I know it goes back a bit but it is one I cannot forget 20 years later.

I love the mural depicting St. John's Brass and Reed Band on Garryowen Road. We have so many great examples in the city!
Awful. No obvious tactics, no leadership evident, no skill set in evidence. No amount of spin will sweeten this one...
Just noticed...should read Brendan Kennelly...
Keep it as Kerry Airport as there will be division as to whom it should be called after. Someone like Tom Crean would have a good shout for naming rights as well. A case could be made for John B Keane, Brenda Kennelly, Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh amongst others.
Another stop for us is 'Little Heaven'. Our grandchildren from the USA visited here for the first time last summer.
Thaitin sé sin go mór liom! Is breá linn bheith in Iarthair Chiarraí agus táimid ag súil go mór lenár gcéad turas eile!
I realise it's WATERFORD Whispers, but...it's hurleys...
We took a very interesting road trip in California last week with cousin Mike and Barbara. Weather was very Irish but it didn't take from the day. Old Faithful geyser (the CA one, not Yellowstone), giant redwoods, and film locations from The Birds and The Goonies.
Fort Point, under the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, CA.
St. Patrick's Day drinks, Plymouth, MA.

Beautiful! Sit back, enjoy!
I believe 'telpis' was regularly to be heard from them...
Not sure how you define gentleman but it was once defined as 'a person who can play the bagpipes but doesn't'...
If your train has a major malfunction,
You can try to obtain an injunction;
Your delay is a blip,
Not in Limerick but Tipp,
Despite it being called Limerick Junction.
Fork with chicken wings??? Very posh altogether!
I'm of a certain age and, as a native of West (Wesht?) Limerick, I would have to put a word in for Nash's red lemonade.
When she hits that high note on the last chorus...wow!
Just the lasted remnants of a snowman here in Dooradoyle, Limerick.
Very thick fog in Limerick City earlier but more or less lifted now.
An aerial view of the Rock of Cashel in the snow.
A blanket of snow covers the Rock of Cashel. South Tipperary has become a winter wonderland this morning!
The Rock of Cashel, or Carraig Phádraig, is undoubtedly one of Ireland’s most iconic monuments with well more than 1500 years of stories.

Might be here yet. Perfect temperature for snow, 2°C. Orange warning kicks in at 5.00 I think???
Composite screenshot of tweets by Elon Musk. The first from 2022 reads: "For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally". The second, from 20 Dec 2024, reads: "only the AfD [extreme right wing party] can save Germany"
How it started,
How it's going.
