First day of @jcon.one was amazing. Looking forward for more and of course for my talk on Thursday morning!

Tried to create some Perses dashboards today with @cuelang.org. The type unification paradigm is interesting mindbend.
But the schema is not the actual schema of JSON accepted by Perses but of its go API. For example it is not possible to create variable with default value `$__all`. JsonNET FTW.
You don't need much JavaScript to build a fully interactive web app.
In the latest post in my Unpoly series I walk through the client-side capabilities that make it possible.

Excited for #JCON EUROPE 2026? See Dominika Tasarz at #JCON2026 in Cologne talking about 'The JUG-gle is Real: What #Java User Groups Can Teach Us About Growing #OpenSource Communities'

I hate the re-soloing of development. We were so close to learning social skills, creating community, encouraging creativity & purpose, & applying empathy. Easier to manage if each of us is so busy with our genieswarms that we don't have time to talk & reflect.
I keep writing, this post describes HTTP headers that Unpoly utilizes for more optimized communication with backend zeromagic.eu/posts/unpoly...
A longer post today on my beloved subject: Unpoly for modern frontends that make sense for backend guy.

I started reviving my blog by switching to #Quarkus #Roq. And this is how I deploy it (nothing fancy, really)
"Java offers a fully modern, end-to-end alternative — desktop, web, terminal, and even mobile apps — all powered by a single language. With one cohesive Java stack, teams and AI tools can reason, build, and iterate more efficiently than ever." #java #ui robintegg.com/2026/02/08/j...
Not the first time I hear this. Brace yourself for a wave of "agentic burnouts", in particular among ADHD people where the continuous dopamine fix resulting from agents producing stuff leads people to endlessly keep feeding them.
Looking forward to "Software Development The Hard Way"!
Because starting with OSGi R7 bundles should explicitly import Java classes as well. Any bundle targeting Java 9+ should do that.

Thank you all and especially @tomcools.be for guiding us! #devoxx
Devoxx talk summary.
Just two hours to go!
See you in room 3 at 12:55, where I make multiple encounters with Yaml and kubernetes deployment tooling, as well as a thr solution for that that we developed in Payara! #devoxx

Welcome to #DevoxxBe pt. 1
That's the metaphor I've been looking for a long time. I used to say "you don't store items at home by color"
Just two letters.

Somebody explain this to me: word embedding vectors not only place words geometrically close to each other based on meaning, but also embed concepts in directionality so that difference vectors are also semantically meaningful across space? Is that right, and how on earth does that happen?

We really need a new #JUnit logo! 🤣
Proposals are welcome!

At @jcon.one Slovenia, @pdudits.bsky.social had an engaging talk about finding useful info in huge log files, using vector proximity and AI embeddings. Thanks!
