I just put a public post up on our Patreon. It's a bit rambly (so very obviously human-written) but I cover some ground you all may be interested in re: LSQ goings on. With bonus women's hockey.

Stories written by humans for humans are more important than ever, and LSQ has been proving that for seventeen years. Support us on Patreon and get a copy of our new spring issue. We hope you'll slow down and stay awhile. 🖤 www.lunastationquart...

The cover for issue 065 is by the amazing J. L. Meyer. A familiar figure gives us a saucy look. She's dispensing swords and we are so here for it. 🖤 www.lunastationquart...

6 Lit mags you gotta submit to this week (& why) The Cincinnati Review - One of the most prestigious traditional print mags out there, they also have a robust digital presence. Apogee Journal - A lit mag that's been slowly but surely establishing their footprint within the indie lit space. Luna Station Quarterly - Dedicated to sharing the "vast talents of female speculative fiction writers," this lit mag is one of the most vibrant and visually appealing spec mags I know. Translunar Travelers Lounge - A newer lit mag, they feature stories that "explore the fun side" of fantasy and sci fi. The Deadlands - I've enjoyed working with this mag in the past. They pay professional rates and have several reading periods throughout the year. The Saturday Evening Post - They've been around since 1821, and they focus on fiction and nonfiction (as well as cartoons) "on the ever-evolving American scene." CHILL SUBS® X ONLY POEMS
What to do on a random Friday night? Why, submit your work to lit mags of course!

An open book on a white textured blanket. The left page reads: Brighton J. Nathan A faded crescent moon sits in the middle of the page. Under it is written: J. Nathan is a speculative fiction writer living in the Pacific Northwest. She is greatly influenced by Ursula K Le Guin and Shirley Jackson. You can usually find her on a run through the woods or rambling about reading and writing on Bluesky @jamielnathan.bsky.social.
First time seeing my words in print, in a book, that I can hold in my hands. 🤩
You can find this cozy tale over at @lunastation.bsky.social
A naked woman, the Lady of the Lake, with water for hair turns coyishly around with a finger shushing us to her lips. She's surrounded by fish and flowers and holds a sword almost behind her back.

Cover art for LSQ Issue 61. A pink naked woman covered by blue hair at the fun parts looks like she's enjoying herself.

Oh that's wonderful!!!
Omnibi (omnibuses?) are the thing other people seem to really want, too.
Dark blueish image of two parallel lines of small white light bulbs running horizontally with an orange glow in between
‘Seedpod’ by Ellen Parent was a wild read! There was so much going on and plenty to think about. Enjoyed it so much, I went straight back for a second read.

A hand holds the Luna Station Quarterly magazine Issue 64 (December 2025) displaying the cover. Surrounded by a wintry and ghostly forest, a pale blue furred creature with antlers towers over a dark-haired young child wearing a red dress and holding a stuffed teddy. There are glowing symbols inscribed over the thin tree trunks as well as on the creature's forehead. Star-like speckles of snow or dust seem to float gently to the dark ground.
I'm still working my way through this lovely volume. And now that I'm sitting at my desk again, I love catching a glimpse of this wonderfully eerie cover!
