VRChat screenshot of Bronx the Beast, a musclebound beastman with symmetrical patches of brown fur, curved horns, red eyes, short tusks, and tan hide. In this night-time shot, he looks down at the viewer with a soft grin as he leans against the edge of a hot tub atop a skyscraper penthouse, the blue water reflecting distant light against a deep, dark blue early morning sky.

I've been on #VRChat lately, mostly a result of working on my #avatar again—it's kind of surreal, as they've reached a point where they look better in VRChat than they do in my actual renders. Kinda crazy!

(This one is Bronx, a character of mine from Champions Online, more or less my 'main'.)

Hey, cheers. Probably no photos for this event, I wasn't in full costume or anything, I was part of the crew. Still, I'll be dressing up for Halloween I think, at least a day or two, maybe I'll get something of the beastman/Hrothgar outfit while I'm at Haunted World or a club or something.

...then I remember I've been doing wrestling, events, and playing Darktide a lot. SF6 is fun. Battlefield 6 is apparently good, might need to play it, lol. Still haven't played Ready or Not, I occasionally get SWAT 3 nostalgia. And I can't believe WWE 2K25 PC doesn't have crossplay...

Another Ren Faire accomplished, maybe a Halloween event or two ahead. Been busy keeping up with things, got a lot going on. Finished a good few renders for the Arkhan comic, still need to do a lot of wrestling renders though. Can't believe I started it years ago and still haven't finished it.

Hey ya! Cheers for the compliment!

Feel free to add me in VRChat, my handle is just "Beastman".
Usually my hangouts are in pursuit of some activity or other, adventuring, being on the move. It's been a little while since I've been on/done hangouts, but we'll see what the future brings!

Hah, true enough, better safe than sorry...!

Still, he's a surprisingly friendly fellow under that thick thin, so I imagine it's easier to be pals with him than not; then you can enjoy a friendly and safe tussle or two...! 😉

I love this. The expression, the stonkingly massive and musclebound physique, the veins, the wild hair, the horns, them teeth, the pose—this is the kind of musculature and character design that makes me happy and I am in love now.

Awesome lines, awesome shading, fantastic everything. Whoof.

A short comic page featuring a lean green-skinned orc and a brawny tan-skinned human in a comfortable living space within a jungle temple. The orc holds a red scaly fruit. In subtitles, the human inquires, "Dragon Fruit. Have you ever tried it?" The orc replies, "I'm afraid I've never eaten dragon fruit before." The human responds, "Why be afraid? It's just fruit." The human's expression is analytical, the orc's nonplussed.

With 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 happening, I've retreated back into my fantasy art, which means actual progress on the comics I've been postponing for two years now, woo...!

Here's just a quick page I made for fun, a tiny taste of the story and adventure.

...anyway, back to Darktide.

True! A minority of players/fans who don't see irony/absurdity and think the Starship Troopers movie is a heroic tale tainted my view early on.

WH40K's a long running series with tons of character to it, and a lotta folks who have fun with it—including me now—so I certainly don't mean any ill-will.

Beast's character in the PC-version of the game Warhammer 40k: Darktide. The character is an "Ogryn", within the Warhammer universe they are an ogre-like race categorized as Abhumans. Those loyal to the Empire are treated as they are: dumb brutes who are good at one thing—crush and destroy. In the Darktide game, which is similar to Left 4 Dead, Ogryn are a playable and customizable class. Beast's character here is a large muscular Ogryn wearing a collection of warmongering items, from bandoliers with thick bullets, to leather belts, straps, and metal dog tags, over and under a cropped red vest and trousers; reflective of a small portion of the in-game cosmetic customization options available for player characters.

Warhammer isn't my thing—waaagh and emperor of mankind memes, an overly grim setting, ironically immature, leaning uncomfortable close to idealizing supremacy and zealotry...meh.

But Warhammer 40k: Darktide is cool. It's like Left 4 Dead, but you're on the offensive, and can be a Ogre. It's fun! ✅

Golly...this kind of sheer bulging muscularity on display is just... 🤌
Totally wanna get into that ring and experience a muscular coil, whoof.

Awesome piece of art and style, the apparel is cool, the linework is great, the anatomy is on point--fantastic stuff!

Absolute 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐟.

Monstrous beasts in a brawl, ending up in a grapple—and a full nelson body-scissor combo at that? A tight inescapable squeeze testing might and muscle? Awesome.

Very cool stuff, great work, wonderful to see a gift like this shared for all to see and enjoy.

A virtual reality screenshot (or virtual photograph) of Bronx the Beastman, a humanoid musclebound bestial person with brown hide and patches of dark brown fur, a trimmed mane and beard, and two small tusks jutting from his lower lip, and two horns rising from his head. He stands in front of a multi-colored array of lights at a modern club of some kind, muscular arms crossed over his broad chest as he smirks and scrutinizes you the viewer.

...now you do!"

Now the question is, if I repost something, and someone deletes the post I reposted, should I delete my repost that's now completely devoid of context...?

Hey ya! Notice every repost I've done so far has a comment attached? Totally intentional!

I liked 'Likes' being public, because it was a quick way of gauging/getting to know folks and their interests.

So, here on BSky, when I repost, I'll share my thoughts. More thoughts, more likely to repost. 👍

Just sharing this here to say, "yes this represents me too."

Roleplaying is a tremendously powerful tool as a way of developing an understanding of identity, one's self, empathy, and furthering socialization, in addition to just being fun!

Glad I got into RP. Still am, still want to be. But...yep.

Random chance, the algorithm, luck, bots, ˢᵃᵗᵃⁿⁱᶜ ʳⁱᵗᵘᵃˡˢ, maybe just people stopping by and approving of an authentic profile picture...!

Whoof. Major whoof.

Yeah, seeing this skin for the character in-game literally made me breathless. And I don't even play the game.

...between Black Panther, and big muscley Venom, I'm worried I wouldn't be very focused on the gameplay anyway.

But this is awesome art, incredibly well done...!

Man, giving Hexen a go in 2024 reminds me just how incredibly musclebound enemies were back in 90s' games...aliens (and pig cops, whoof) from Duke Nukem, Hell Knights/Barons in Doom. Pretty much the entire roster in Hexen...

I'll never disapprove of totally ripped, hunky, and hulky mobs in games...

I swear the only reason I came here to begin with was because I discovered I have you to thank for the Skaarj in Unreal Tournament 2004, and I wanted to say thank you, and celebrate how cool they look and everything else about them.

But apparently big hats and specific percentages also excite me. 🤷‍♂️

A screengrab from the movie Gangs of New York showing various characters wearing hats that are very, very large.

Another thing learned, Bluesky seems a bit more...strict, with its automated labeling.

A "sticker" of Bronx the Beastman (a musclebound person with brown hide and patches of dark brown fur, a trimmed mane and beard, bestial facial features with two small tusks jutting from his lower lip, and two horns rising from his head), and Brokul the Orc (a musclebound green-skinned man with a brutish but friendly face, black chinstrap beard and mohawk, and two tusks rising from his lower lip). Bronx sits in a office chair, in front of a computer, wearing only red athletic briefs, showing his muscularity, while Brokul stands beside him, leaning on the beastman's arm and shoulder. They are both looking at the computer monitor, with soft expressions of delight and mild surprise.

Something perhaps learned from my previous post—is Bluesky making PNG backgrounds eye-pleasing black instead of retina-blinding white?

It's showing a black background on my screen, at least. What are you seeing?

...aside from a muscley orc and beastman...

...or is that eye-pleasing enough?
