Tl;dr - Long ass thread, sorry. But ultimately you can ask hella people involved with RPGMaker (including a ton of RPGMaker devs) what they think about the Discord / Subreddit and they'll go go "You mean the main one or the No-AI one?" lmao because yea we made an entirely seperate discord eventually

1 week ago 1 0 0 0

And about 5 of the 8 people on that list who share communities / circles are regularly protected by The Admin of /r/RPGMaker (Pixels) personally...as in he's jumped into conversations to defend them and change the subs rules and go "Well the rules changes so they're excluded." time after time.

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

And I can also confirm the behavior of those called out individuals because they've been banned in every every single gaming related space I moderate for (INAT, IndieDev, ect).

/r/RPGMaker and their Discord stopped sharing a blacklist / banliste / awarelist with us about five months ago.

Tl;dr - You can unfortunately go back about a year and watch the decline of both the subreddit and discord starting with the first Gen-AI megathread. Pro-AI users like SangHendrix, Kasagura, ect, all growing popular on the sub selling stolen / non-disclosed assets and being protected by Pixels.

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

And by "fully Pro-AI" I mean he's a top 1% commentor in /r/DefendingAI and /r/AiWars...two subreddits beyond infamous for brigading art subs, including a lot of the high-traffic art subs I moderator for, which is where three of the mods speculate why I was targetted specifically.

I also think for what it's worth, even one of the mods who I spoke to afterwards flat out acknowledged I've been a major contributor to the community, free resources, guides, ect.

It's unfortunately just Pixel's decision to be fully Pro-AI going forward.

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

I'm also trying to find the screenshot of Pixel in the discord channel he made specifically for discussions about the AI situation (Literally called #The-Situation lmao where he flat out said "None of these conversations are productive" before nuking a bunch of people's screenshots / links to proof

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

They've unfortunately gone and purged the dozens of threads asking about specific Gen-AI scammers in the sub / discord, classifying those post also as "harassment" and "misinformation."

Screenshots of Pixels speaking in a PUBLIC channel are somehow "misinformation", that's how bad he's become.

My comment was being mass downvoted yet being given awards before Pixels removed it and perma banned me - MY comment -

Cut off but the end isn't super relevant, just edits to screenshots I already provided.

The reason for the ban was "Spam / Harassment" lmao

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

The mods involved (aside from the one blatantly in the screenshot which occured in the discord general chat) do not wish to be named because they're already at risk of Pixels taking over both the sub and discord, as seen in the screenshot where he confirms he removed their powers.

I am neither of the people in this screenshot. One is the Admin for the /r/RPGmaker discord and subreddit, the other is a mod.

Here you can see the third megathread, from today - www.reddit.com/r/RPGMaker/c...

You can see the people against AI being mass downvoted / having comments deleted

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

Very relevant with all the drama happening with the staff on /r/RPGMaker and folks running other peoples media through AI to copyright claim it / resell it under different branding.

Fuck all this AI bullshit, man.

One last update since I can't be bothered to keep an eye on this today, even if for archival purposes.

Apparently me posting the screenshots of the subreddit and discord's admin admitting to not caring what Anti-AI people say is "not related to game development" lmaoooo

So for the record

People they've banned this week

- Over two dozen Artist, Musicians, and Game Devs who spoke up against the Admin's blatant Pro-AI pushing

- Zero of the eight people exposted (with evidence) of theft and scams within the sub

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

Update to this: They've now gone and banned all the major voices involved with speaking out against this from both the discord and subreddit.

It's official - The #RPGMaker Discord / Subreddit's admin is on a power trip.

Their admin (/r/RPGMaker and the RPGMaker discord) is insanely Pro-AI. Dude literally let's Pro-AI accounts who have nothing to do with GameDev and two dudes who were caught selling AI assets as organic speak above actual devs and favors them because he views them as "attacked".

RPGMaker Subreddit Rule Changes

www.reddit.com/r/RPGMaker/c...

"We're enforcing flairs"
"We're enforcing tags"

The critisim here is this is what Pixels told people A YEAR AGO. It has been ONE year and the situation has only gotten worse.

When you try to discuss this you're banned, regardless of your approach.

Current mod team critisizing current admin for flat out banning people who call out the hypocrisy of his decisions, delayed decisions, and purposely ignoring evidence of the sub being infested with AI-generated / Stolen assets.

The /r/RPGMaker discord is ran by a Pro-AI psychopath who's been slowly banning creators who are outspoken about his constant "promises" of regulating AI content on the sub -

He banned about two dozen of us actual developers from the discord today for voting against him.

My Friend from Italy sent me a picture of his village.

Not a human in sight and their beautiful river is crystal clear...no smog in the sky, the sun is bright orange and oppressive.

OH fuck yeah

It was basically a bit above a Romhack. Used assets from Fragment / IMOQ but also was like 35% original / new assets.

An issue with them believing I was attempting to sell the game / was profiting from it (cause of my patreon, ect) was what lead to all this.

Remember that .hack fangame I was working on that got C&D?

Well, I got confirmation that I can legally release the original music I was composing and producing for the game.

Going to start on NewGrounds but it'll be released in full eventually - www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen...
