The Lovers - Cinta and Vel from Andor
and what if i say this made me sob?
It isn't canon. People just have shipping goggles on I fear. Though I'd feel the exact same as you if they did go on to do that. It's why I can't really get behind it
I'm so glad someone is finally speaking about Cinta. After I finished the season it felt even more weird how Cinta's arc was conveyed entirely off screen and used only to give Vel pain.
This rings a bit hollow considering the treatment of Cinta and Vel effectively being sidelined in s2. Like Mon, Kleya, Dedra and Bix? Sure. Vel and Cinta are barely anything but tools during this season.
my mothers.... i miss them
Bix π€ Cinta
Women of color with frustratingly weak exits centering their white/light-skinned love interests when stronger, more compelling, and much less fraught writing options were available in what is otherwise an excellent show.
#Andor spoilers below for Episodes 6-9 of season 2.
guys do NOT get into star wars yuri. it will KILL you!!!
I think for Brasso it was kinda okay because he died doing something that summed him up as a character (saving Wilmon, putting down an alibi for Kellan) but Cinta got shot in a wide-ass corridor to tell me something I already know: Ghorman rebels are inexperienced. It just didn't work for me
I WILL STOP CRASHING OUT NOW but oh my god...
like no, i don't think it's bury your gays but i am flabbergasted that people are arguing this was a fitting death for cinta. for a show that's genuinely so good at giving even the most minor characters depth, i don't understand how andor managed to drop the ball so hard here #andorspoilers

i genuinely want to ask people who thought cinta's death was meaningful just because it was 'symbolic' what they are smoking because how? by establishing that the rebel cels are in disarray? how was this meaningful or a fitting end for cinta's arc? quickly now
tony gilroy when i get my HANDS ON YOU
i'm so funnyyyyyyy
this is my FAVOURITE marlana art, i'm so happy to see it on here!!
agreed!!! also like her ending with linhardt but I think lin in general has really great endings
hubernie and berniegard are easily the best in my non biased at all opinion
"fe characters are so bland nowadays. they lack the sheer DEPTH and COMPLEXITY of the classics" says the fan of a fire emblem game from the year 802 featuring Gorkus and Dorpus whose only personality traits are having an axe and having a hand axe
'fine' i don't know man. i feel like i should be emotionally comatose but the reality is that i feel so disconnected its circled back around to feeling normal
grief is so fucking weird. i saw the word mom today and sobbed for an hour but other than that i'm feeling fine.
i cannot stand smoking irl but i'm choosing to forget that rn
alana bloom please one chance PLEASE ONE CHANCE JUST ONE CHANCE
ethel cain just rung me up and told me they wrote 'a house in nebraska' solely for citrinne/yunaka fans. feel so humbled and grateful rn
getting into hannibal 12 years too late is hellish because im like "does anyone want to talk about about the significance behind alana bloom's wrap dresses vs her tailored suits" and the answer is no π
same but i have too much work and it's making it impossible for me to write about my pookies. we are suffering!!
