An aircraft passes overhead at 10pm last night, illuminated by moonlight.
Rome, last weekend.
£99 to sit in the very back row to see Paul Simon… Much as I’d love to see him, I think that will be a no. I can’t afford that for a night. I get the feeling a lot of greedy promoters and venues are just milking us for as much money as they can get. Paul Simon certainly doesn’t need the money.

Brutalist Glasgow at 3am this morning, seen from my work. The Met Tower, constructed in the early 1960s and formerly part of @cofgcollege.bsky.social. Its been vacant for over 10 years with various plans proposed - but is now to be redeveloped into flats as a “Union Co-Living” space by Vita Group.
There also the Oscar Winning 1961 film “Seawards the Great Ships”, written by John Grierson, “the Father of Documentary Filmmaking” (there is a bust of him on the bridge in Stirling Station). youtu.be/C2qS2Oa54zU?... (from 30 mins onward)
Pity you didn’t get to the Fairfield museum in Govan- it’s well worth a visit - a fascinating wee museum with several ex-shipyard workers as museum guides and big plans for the future too!!
@mrjamesob.bsky.social You might find this an interesting read - regarding what the authors call Trumps creation of a “Patrimonialist” US government.

Kid Rock? Got to be a contender surely?
A wee visit to Scotlands eighth city today.
Just a bit over a week ago - I think Monday or Tuesday of last week?
I was there recently - it was busy...
Street lights come on as dusk falls over Stirling and the castle, with evening twilight shining on the snow covered mountains of Stuc a’ Chroin and Ben Vorlich in the background.
Like everyone, I look forward to the magical moment each year, when I take the Christmas lights out of the box…
The Shard, London.
On a train from Glasgow to London. Wish us luck!
It’s just the same as all of ours - only painted different (and better washed!)
A beautiful (but chilly) afternoon on Loch Lomond, Scotland.
A late (and very dark) West Highland trip to Oban and back tonight. Sadly the weather isn’t looking all that encouraging…
