What does this say about me (besides that I need to dust)

I’m a huge proponent of actually owning things because:

1. Digital content can be removed for no reason
2. Digital content can be edited after the fact
3. You can loan discs to a friend
4. You can sell discs
5. It’s exhausting to have yet another rental license instead of actually owning something

I’m starting my journey to collect physical movies today. I already have a small collection of CDs, vinyl, and (a much larger collection of physical) video games, so what’s one more money sink?

I got The Bad Guys and Detective Pikachu to start off with! Both secondhand 4K, but good condition.

I’m playing Pokopia in the little time I have outside of work, and it’s so cute and so expansive I feel kinda overwhelmed. I’m building the Pokemon Center overnight, and I’ve started foundations for a road network.

Pro tip: I believe the centering is 2 wide for major things, so don’t do odd numbers

Disposable income is great, it turns out

As someone who cares not for Metroidvanias—Animal Well is superb so far.

Everyone knows the real Minecraft peak was whenever -I- played it most as a kid

Seeing videos of playful wolves makes me so happy. Like that’s me. That’s just me being silly there

My toxic trait is thinking that Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival is a reasonably solid game. Not perfect, but not terrible

So apparently when you plug a microSD card into your iPhone, it formats the card in a way that erases the pictures you’d previously stored on it? It’s not a format Windows recognizes. Anyway, good news is that I figured this out before the con and have it working between my phone/camera now

I also picked up Magical Athlete, a very different kind of game that also looks very fun. I want to get an insert for it, but I should probably wait for one that fits a future expansion

Got a new board game for Christmas! Galactic Cruise. It’s a euro worker placement, and it seems kinda crunchy. From what I’ve read, it has little player interaction, but I like Wingspan, so that’s not a deal breaker. Also, the base insert is top tier!

Now to see when I can actually play it…

I really hate being autistic sometimes. I can make a complete fool of myself without knowing what I did wrong, and then everyone will instantly dislike me. Even just existing drives people away. No one wants to give me a chance because I’m slightly wrong and broken in an unfixable way

A truck is a mode of transport for people and cargo that’s one continuous unit. A semi truck is larger, transports people and cargo, and can detach into two. So it stands to reason that a demi- or quasi- truck would transport things, have more detachment points, and be even bigger. Like a train
