⁉️ Politico reported that MSs weren't consulted before the announcement of the agreement. The Commission also didn't consult the Parliament before signing the deal with Egypt.

Noch ein Wort zum Inhalt des gescheiterten Gesetzes. Familiennachzug zu unterbinden, steigert die öffentliche Sicherheit nicht, weil die Einbindung in soziale Strukturen Delinquenz verhindert. Das Gesetz ergibt nur Sinn, wenn man Einwanderung an sich ablehnt.

Bei den Asylanträgen in Europa sieht man sehr deutlich, dass es nicht vor allem von den Sozialleistungen abhängt, wo die Menschen Asyl beantragen, sondern eher davon, wo Menschen Freunde oder Familie haben. Menschen aus Bangladesch, Ägypten oder Guinea gehen eher in andere Länder als Deutschland.
