Seems like NYT should have mentioned that UAE's spymaster bought 49% of Trump's World Liberty Financial and used $2B of its USD1 stablecoin, directing hundreds of millions to Trump.

We've seen this movie before. Remember the premature pronouncements that there was no blue wave in 2018?
MSM: We have to be scrupulously fair to <checks notes> the party of rapists and pedophiles by never referring to them as rapists and pedophiles.
We need to investigate Comer et al. when Democrats get control of the House back in <checks notes> 257 days. Let's borrow their trick and investigate the (non-)investigators.
Did you see this?
Turns out it's a pretty good block party.
I'm dreading scrolling further down in these replies because I'm sure it's a wasteland of "NUH UNH" commentary from the know-nothing cosplay leftists who dominate this website.
Yes, I'm well aware, I'm in CA and have been suffering from Prop 13 since it was passed. As for its relevance to this discussion...
Yes, we make all sorts of age-based distinctions. A bigger one is the increases standard deduction on federal taxes, why aren't you bitching about that? To posit that the tiny one you referenced, which has no measurable impact on housing prices, is "reverse discrimination" is just ludicrous.

"Undercover operations are illegal except when we do them." 🙄
I did not know that!
It's unprecedented tho.

Lol, got tired of all the winning.
Pathetic deflection.
Lol you fucking idiot.
Not an excuse, he's just an idiot with a bloated ego who refuses to learn.
Lol, hoarding. People just want to stay in their houses, ma'am. You're mad about a minuscule issue that has a negligible impact on the overall market.
This has to be an incredibly tiny effect on the market. $700 to $1500 for those with incomes < $93k is nearly negligible. It's not the real problem by a light year.

Giving seniors a tiny break on their property taxes is not reverse discrimination against younger people FFS.
Someone get that man into the nearest MRI machine, there's something very wrong with his brain.
I'm so old I dimly remember orange groves in the East Bay, one town over from Oakland. The real estate became too valuable to be farmland, at least short term, which is how decisions about development get made.
It's just that in this case, a certain group of people have demonstrated a hard-headed insistence on hurting themselves. They don't see it that way, of course, but I'd argue that being easily bamboozled is a choice.
Yep, it's for their own good. It's a patronizing attitude for sure, but then again some people deserve to be patronized, especially if we're helping them in the process.
