It was the line "hardware, software" that made me very curious. Seemed anachronistic to me! But I see those have other meanings.
@brianlfrye.bsky.social what's the song at the end of the Jorge Contreras episode?

Thoughtworks's "Radar" (www.thoughtworks.com/radar) is a nice occasional overview of interesting tools and practices in the tech industry. From the mundane "Pre-commit hooks" (who isn't using these?) — to the shocking "LLM as judge" (meaning evaluator, not legal adjudicator).

10th ed. McGill Guide continues to recommend an EN dash (not a hyphen) for ranges. This makes sense and is consistent with other style guides. However, they've changed all of their examples to use an EM dash. In the 9th edition, this error was only in a single example. Now it has spread everywhere.
Snippet of effective cross-examination I saw recently. No flourish, not even an upturn at the end of the statements being echoed to the witness.
Witness: he said many times the house had been completely rebuilt

I like that the Court of Appeal Rules (BC) are organized by headings that read like an FAQ: www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca/civix/docume...
