Alternatively, if you're able, fly to London City airport, and it's a half hour walk or ten minute cab.
"Booed and cheered."
Yeah, right.
"Social media is where people who don't read books go to argue with people who write them."
That would be you.
You're literally arguing with a published Holocaust scholar about the definition of an illegal order.
Stop it!

Fun LotR fact: that'll be problematic since most of the Riders of Rohan were women with excellent fake beards.
😂
They literally are.
Now, I'll repeat: how many European countries have ID cards and how many don't?
What statement? I think you're projecting there, friendo.
Also, there are a couple other European countries outside the EU that don't have ID cards, so it's a pretty fair conclusion that you don't know the difference. Again, projection.
So. How many European countries have them and how many don't?
What is your point in asking that question? That only 2 out of 27 EU countries don't have official id cards?
(Well, really one, since the Irish have passport and PSC cards that are functionally identical...)
Are we considering the Waffen-SS as military or paramilitary?
The blurring of lines between them is something to watch for - especially since trumpism seems to prefer co-opting and politicising existing organisations to militarising political ones.
People in the comments claiming the comparison is moot because a US BCT would always benefit from air superiority, joint fires etc. Have they seen the latest USAF readiness figures, and considered where that goes if it simultaneously looks like kicking off in the Pacific?
Surely the issue here is that the playbook just does not have a page on "what to do if you DON'T have joint fire support and air superiority" which is truly alarming if you look at, say, the USAF's recent readiness figures and flying hours (especially compared to 1990.)
Volley fire is the way to win battles and anything else is dangerously revolutionary.
You never hear of a Christian religious leader expressing an opinion on morality or doctrine?
Them Warfighters do be fighting them wars
Maintaining a diversity of ongoing personal projects is important because it enables you to procrastinate on one by aimlessly tinkering with another, thereby creating the possibility that you'll finish one of them by accident.
The lesson is clear: you can’t outflank the far right by borrowing its language. You only validate its narrative, undermine your own authenticity, and make democracy more fragile in the process.
One would hazard a guess there were fewer crappy AI generated images in the 1930s

ALWAYS boom tomorrow
Year by year, Act by Act, the UK has long been slowly, steadily creating an evermore Illiberal security state.
And politicians and the media have just nodded it through.
Party politics and the press have made little if no difference.
I suspect we're more likely in for a long Regency period, but with far worse fashion choices.
Sometimes you have to roll the hard six.
"There's a reason you separate the military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."
That line really hits, these days.
Read the instruction manual again and assemble your cat correctly :)
No boom today?
Indeed. I don't think the new Regency period will be as fashionably dressed as the original, sadly
Hard not to be reminded that before Facebook, Zuckerberg made a website to compare the hotness of people in photos he didn't have permission to use.
