ENC pro tip: be sure to check out the community-focused noon workshops: #www.enc-conference.org/Program-Overview-Schedul...
less than a week and looking forward to seeing all the new magnetic resonance at ENC - check out the program; would love to see as many of you there - flag me down. www.enc-conference.org/Program-Over...
so sorry to miss you, hopefully next year, good wishes to you and your lab as always!
This year I promise not to submit my ENC abstract on the last day....and why is my nose growing? FYI March 6!!!! www.enc-conference.org/Abstract-Sub...
This is a very tough loss, see this post from Prof. Lucio Frydman over on LinkedIn. www.linkedin.com/posts/lucio-...
FYI, a nice journal, The Chemical Educator, has moved to University of California Press (online.ucpress.edu/tce). A while back we reported a simple NMR lab to detect adulterants in OTCs. (online.ucpress.edu/tce/article-...) Good wishes to this new chapter of TCE.
a circular logo which says "Human authored, the Authors Guild"
I occasionally buy mcat prep books to keep an eye on things, and was intrigued that the latest book I bought has the logo pasted below. I guess we will increasingly need things like this. I don't know any more about it, but here is link: authorsguild.org/human-author...
Reminder Friday Jan 9 (today!) for abstracts for consideration for talks for ENC. After Jan 9, the sooner an abstract is submitted, the more chance it has of being considered for an oral presentation. www.enc-conference.org/Abstract-Sub...

dipping our toes in IDPs to support great work led by my very cool colleagues in engineering antimicrobials. Congrats to Josh in our lab for running and assigning these tough spectra. (open access) onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
Consider giving Usched a try for NUS of 2D-NMR - run now on nmrbox (or free download). Long story short: schedules are knowably decoherent and more reliable.

random find (looks legit) is a remarkable demonstration of electromagnetism in a coil with DC current - welding shops have iron rich dust/dirt and if the welding cable is coiled, you get this. packaged-media.redd.it/x6zr96zqepwf...
Big lab news! Huge congrats and our warmest wishes to lab alum Tom Mann, starting his independent career at Berkeley #BucknellChem mcb.berkeley.edu/news-and-eve...
Also check out the invited speakers for ENC #ENC2026: www.enc-conference.org/ENC-Invited-...
Just to celebrate some good news - we got wonderful new & modern orgo labs, built for small labs with close interactions with instructors, generous hoods; this is one of several. #BucknellChemistry

Stumbled on this, a unique offering from a lab at Michigan, an atlas of Fourier pairs - follow link to kickstarter. hovdenlab.com/software.htm
Big congrats to Chris Burgey '91 (Bucknell Chemistry) for being honored as one of ACS 2025 heroes of chemistry. #BucknellChem #Merck cen.acs.org/acs-news/acs...
wearing more hats, so posting less, but let's try to fix that; first, local folks here's the annual chem halloween show, see some science on a bigger scale. All ages. #BucknellChem
consider joining me and Frank Delaglio as we look at the sampling side of NUS next week as a part of the outstanding Global NMR Discussion series #NMRChat www.globalnmr.org
Immersing in great science at PANIC, learning a lot here, and thanks so much for having me to share metabolomics panicnmr.com
I don't think I realized just how much I needed ENC right now. Great to reconnect with this amazing network of friends and colleagues and always the new science, transformative applications, and more. Thanks to all of you. #ENC2025
Alex at a conference dinner with people in the background, smiling at the camera.
If you are at #ENCISMAR2025 and you knew Alex Pines, please come share memories of him with the IVAN users group tomorrow. It will be informal and everyone is welcome.

Congrats to lab alum Chengtong Zhang on his ENC talk today. Can’t wait to see what you continue to do in NMR! #enc2025
Congratulations to Zhehong Gan @nationalmaglab.bsky.social! Well-deserved recognition for his seminal work in solid-state NMR including development of many modern pulse sequences & applications in high magnetic fields and quadrupolar nuclei, vital in materials science!

all right, which one of you is this? ;-) (flagged for me by a colleague ): www.ebay.com/itm/19715366...
a little preview of our posters for ENC/ISMAR: you can see new methods to develop improved NUS schedules, and learn about observing NSAIDS in sera and what they may or may not tell us... #ENC2025
v. glad to share some organ-specific NMR insect-omics on the small honeybee midgut organ as a part of larger omics work with the fantastic Snow lab; challenging NMR, congrats to Joanna to get these nontrivial spectra. Take a peek. #NMRChat
