Deis Esme, my Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan (as pictured here) was definitely my Cold Dead Thing of the Match today in my game versus James’ Solar Auxilia in today’s game of Legions Imperialis. She definitely excels in a “target rich environment.” Cracking game but she did *embarrassingly* well.

I was too busy playing Warhammer to tell you to edit yourself and mind your scope. 😜

2. The Paint Goblin (me)-disheveled, uses hand as palette (no gloves), paint inevitably on their face, improvises, often seen in yoga-ish poses while painting to get angles and stability. The piece might be immaculate but the painter is covered in crap. 2/2

There are two types of miniatures painters:
1. The Professional- has all the stuff, prepared-apron, latex gloves, one of those makeup mixers for the little paint bottles. Everything in its place, magnifying glass setup. 1/2

Two finished Knight Porphyrions in a Grimdark version of a House Hermetika (Raven Guard allies) scheme. I’m not doing a whole army in this scheme because I don’t hate myself that much. The sponge painting bit was easy and fun, the armour treatment and trim was fiddly.

I particularly liked a Papal States and Hannibal-themed armies. They were cool to look at with the heraldry and then the elephants.

I went to my FLGS yesterday to top up on some paint colours and there was a bunch of old guys there playing a 15mm Ancients game. Three simultaneous games going on so I’m guessing a one day event. Instant big dumb grin.

And this is why FLGS’s with a chill vibe are top tier mental health providers.

I was *meant* to be working on Knights. But these came together quicker.

I just accidentallied two Legion Fellblades while working on the Knight Porphyrions. Things take time to dry, yo. Much less complicated to assemble and paint, so they got knocked out quickly. I’ve decided if I have to have tanks, I’m gonna weather their treads and running gear.
