RFK Jr’s performance during his Hearing-o-Rama was a complete disgrace and an unequivocal demonstration of his utter lack of understanding of or respect for any scientific principle.

His contempt for the people of this country was palpable.

We are all just collateral damage of careless people.

i think it is cool that the president of the united states routinely slurs black people as biological inferior

if you are "sick" — which, again for RFK is a function of race, class and perceived purity — then there is nothing you can do in the face of disease and death, you are destined to succumb. the upshot either way is we do not need vaccines or most modern medical interventions.

If this happened in any other administration ever, Patel would have been fired before the story broke.

The Kash Patel stories are absolutely wild. It perfectly illustrates how far we've moved away from a functioning democracy. Heads of agencies acting with total impunity...

Most of us agree that college is a place for students to learn new perspectives.

But right now, Greg Abbott is working to limit what universities can teach. That’s why professors across Texas are joining @aaup.org — to defend our students and our world-class universities and colleges.

How ‘Jagged Intelligence’ Can Reframe the A.I. Debate

to what extent has the AI hype bubble been shaped by the simultaneous reemergence of IQ scores into public discourse? how do assumptions about general intelligence or a "g factor" distort the way AI boosters think about artificial intelligence?

Hegseth Borrows Violent Prayer from ‘Pulp Fiction’ to Bless Iran War at April Pentagon Worship Service For the second month in a row, Pete Hegseth, who likes to call himself “secretary of war,” read a violent prayer — that echoes a scene in the Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction — during a worship ser...

what’s funny about this is that tarantino wrote this “ezekiel 25:17“ for the film. it isn‘t actually in the bible. publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/hegseth-bo...

GenAI sucks, but I worry that we'll lose sight of *why*- it's specifically because it's an accelerant acting on every pre-existing societal vulnerability.

And ngl some of the framing as AI as "the single bad thing!" I've seen really elides that in concerning ways!

Identity, Inc. Advancing Alaska's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, two-spirited + community through advocacy, education, health care and connectivity.

well this sucks

Identity Inc, one of the major LGBTQ+ groups in the state and a major healthcare provider for transition care, is closing rather suddenly. apparently since December they'v only gotten like half of the Medicaid payments they're owed.

I think it's important to understand and be clear about the epistemic limits of AI and not bestow on it or transfer to it capabilities that are actually due to the actual human beings involved in its development and implementation.

Amazing how not wanting DEI and Black lives Matter has caused so much havoc

My husband died of pancreatic cancer, an absolutely terrible disease. RFK Jr. stopping trials for a VACCINE against this disease makes him personally responsible for everyone that dies from it from here on out. He does not deserve more dignity than those that will die from his actions.

The President of Rutgers continues to dismantle DEI despite the fact that we are a state school and the voters of New Jersey roundly rejected all things Trump last November. It is infuriating. He and the entire leadership team at Rutgers are all Black people btw.

Donald Trump must be removed from office for threatening war crimes and genocide.

Speaker Johnson: bring the House back into session.

Invoking the 25th Amendment and impeachment must be on the table, but Congress should also move on a War Powers resolution to stop Trump.

Two weeks is a reasonable amount of time for Congress to get its shit together and get rid of that fucking man.

💯 The President of the United States can't just casually threaten a literal genocide and then be like "ok fine I'll chill for 2 weeks." The madman is clearly unfit for office and needs to be removed

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists.

Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.

I'm v good at compartmentalizing, maybe bc I had a shit childhood &/or bc I survived a war when Saddam H fired MAYbe-chem-weapons at my country for wks. You don't know until you know, obsessing abt a thing you can do nothing abt isn't useful. Focus on what's right here, rn. Compartments.

Not today.
