Getting into a band with a deep discography is like homework. Every long time fan has a take like "the new stuff makes more sense if you hear the evolution of their sound from these 6 linked concept albums", or "no you have to listen to everything from their trash 90s demos up to now, in order."

Hell yeah. If you don't know these guys, they started out as really harsh cyber-grindcore, went on a long hiatus, then returned with some new members as dreamy post-rock on their last album. This feels like a middle ground.

My biggest source of hubris is not taking the physical toll of travel into account when I plan things. I'll be at an event and wonder why I'm so tired, and I'll think "I know I drove for 2 days straight, but I had a 3 hour nap and a large coffee! I should be fine!"

I was budgeting for travel expenses all week so I didn't attempt to buy a Gajadokuro shirt until just before I left Vegas, but ISHIN said they were sold out. I told him that's good though! I'd rather see them sell all their merch than come home with a bunch left over. I can always get one later.
