Given the partisan lean of this district, Mejia is practically guaranteed a victory tonight. As usual, I'll post results as they come in!

Also a good idea to keep an emergency bottle of champagne chilled at all times in case the crowds in your local pub are so big they risk violating fire codes. That way you can gather with friends and family in the safety of your own home while keeping the streets clear.

As disappointing as it is, I suspect you are correct and I am giving her too much credit. She does seem adept at figuring out how to stay in power and it is interesting that this is what she believes is the current best way.

A woman may have had more situational awareness. We tend to place ourselves in more defendable physical positions.

She also held the belief, again for too long, that supporting Israel was a form of repentance for Italy’s treatment of Jews during WW2. A shortcut, of sorts, to atonement for its part in Jewish genocide.
