In the Forest Secret Area in Super Mario World, there are three 1-Ups after the goal that seem impossible to collect without flying, as walking through the goal destroys them. However, there is an extremely simple trick to get them every time: simply press L before touching the goal.

Where did it get this from lol. One time I wrote Steo Rayman into it and it started saying I was an artist and stuff. I wouldn't quite call myself that lol. I've made attempts to draw in the past, but I'm no artist.

I honestly was never that familiar with the show itself. I just remember the theme song of it very well because my dad would watch it a lot, and even when I was in Sweden, it was on TV there sometimes. I just don't remember anything about it other than the theme song though.

We can't show off every single amazing artist in the Rayman community, but we can certainly try!
Check out these awesome pieces from @pinweena2547.bsky.social who allowed us to reshare their work.

They must have just overlooked it then somehow, but it's interesting that nobody would notice it lol. Like it has to be a mistake if it's grey in one area then magically changes colour in the next.

7 months ago 0 0 1 0

Yeah that doesn't really make much sense. I wonder if the devs even noticed this at the time. Was it still grey on the previous sections in the Prison Ship? I think I remember it being grey there at least.

I never paid proper attention to that, but now that you mention it, I do remember it being yellow on Dreamcast yeah. Weird.

Rayman 2s final boss has you fight Razorbeard while riding the Flying shell.
On Ps1, N64 and DS, they are correctly coloured Gray.

On Pc, DC, 3ds and Ios, they are incorrectly coloured yellow.

And Ps2 is like "get on my level" and has it apear gray in the cutscene, but yellow in gameplay.

Haha yeah. Iโ€™m not giving them more tasks to do, they just always find out all these things. ๐Ÿ˜

Maybe some day RayCarrot will figure it out like he always finds everything lol.

Haha. I don't even know what's different, I guess it's a mystery. ๐Ÿ˜†

Thanks. I'd seen Muffet respond also, but it seems it is a v2.00.

Yeah it has the # at the end, so I guess that means it's a v2.00.

I'm actually unsure what mine is. I have 2 copies of it as far as I remember, though it's questionable what condition those are even in. I need to either get the 10th anniversary set again or just get the 3 games individually. I know that my copy of 3 wasn't in great condition either way.

Been digging into Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA a bit lately and just now discovered a previously unknown debug mode!

You can access it by changing the byte at 0x0860820C to 01 in the EU ROM.

Using it displays the game version and Rayman's position, while also enabling some cheats.

Yeah that makes sense then. It would have just been a complete oversight to allow both. I think it's kind of fun that there are oversights like this, it leaves more room for fun discoveries. Plus knowing why it's happening by having the code makes it more interesting than it being a mystery.

That's really interesting. That's more not checking for "user error" in their code I guess. Like with any program you could be clicking while holding CTRL + Z etc. I'm guessing if they never had the sixth one, it would instead have just crashed the game because it's out of range.

Hey there. Likewise! ๐Ÿ˜€

Time for some more Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA shenanigans!

Did you know that if you press A+B at the same while entering the first level of a world that you get warped to the level 'Not a Piece of Cake!' in the fourth world?

I don't know if you ever done the one where you need a job to afford games, but then you have a job, so you have no time to play them. ๐Ÿ˜†

Hi. I don't even like to think about those times. I wasnโ€™t in a good mental state at all 5 years ago, but that doesn't justify anything.

I apologise to everyone for how I behaved. I'm ashamed of how I was back then, I don't expect anyone to forgive me.

___

I'm not here to bother anyone.

Yeah I was thinking this. Maybe when porting it over they just kept it in.

I've made a new mod which completely removes the loading screens for Rayman Origins! You can now enter levels instantly.

It also makes the Ubisoft logo at the start skippable and removes the auto-save warning in the main menu.

It's available here: gamebanana.com/mods/618641

That's kind of silly lol. Maybe it was a case of people had HDDs over a decade ago and they just assumed some people had terrible PCs, but even then, wouldn't it just show a black screen for a second or two longer if it never had the screen?

7 months ago 2 0 1 0

Haha cool. It's funny that it even bothers displaying it in the first place when it literally doesn't need to on PC.

I really have no idea how this could go unnoticed. Someone surely would have seen this during testing.

There's an infamous bug in the US version of Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA. In the level Filthy Corridors when defeating the Rabbid robot enemies it'll cause the graphics to get corrupted.

I decided to look into the code to see what causes it and why it doesn't happen in the EU version.
