Dem Senators could have objected to unanimous consent constantly to slow this to a crawl, which would have given us months more time to organize, prepare, and resist.

"There's nothing these specific Dems can do with their current approach, so we need to pressure them to resist or resign" - helpful.

For clarity, arguments like "I think X is a better way to resist than Y because [reasons]" are great, because the text and subtext and intent are focusing, energizing, supportive of resistance.
"Don't do X, it's bad/stupid/uncivilized/unpleasant/unpopular" is enervating support of the fascist coup.
Don't want to fight one particular battle? Fine, rest up - nobody can fight all the battles themselves.
Want to fight a different battle instead? Great, have at it.
But telling other people not to fight a given battle IS fighting that battle yourself, for the other side.
